Let's make it official.
You've just up-leveled your meditation experience with me.
If you've been listening to the podcast,
You know that I cover topics of spiritual and practical wisdom.
This podcast is a medium for me to share with you what we might discuss in a client session of therapy and coaching,
And what may be my recommendation for a new meditation for you to try.
I've also dedicated some episodes here just for that,
To share a meditation that is meant to evoke the space and the guidance to help you experience quiet moments,
And moments that are not so quiet,
Because now you are hearing everything that was silenced before.
Meditation opens you to listen more deeply to the world within.
Meditation allows you to calibrate your inner world with the perceptions you live in the world around you.
This means that the inner peace that you hold becomes the peace that you live,
And in all of your encounters with others.
Meditation is to listen to the space that you exist in,
Your physical environment,
The kids playing downstairs,
The neighbor's dog barking as someone walks by on the street,
The ambient music playing in the background,
The furnace that just turned off.
Maybe you have observed your brain,
Noticing what feels like neurons firing up.
You can literally feel yourself awakening to your full cognitive functioning.
It could be the coffee,
But nonetheless,
You are present to it,
Perceptive in ways that you have not noticed before,
For as long as you are part of the flow of consciousness,
Including the visual that has just come to mind spontaneously.
Of seeing yourself walking along the beach,
The sun just about to crest the horizon.
You can be aware of your inner world and the busy nature of your mind,
And then return to the present moment of breath.
Of breath guiding you into here and now.
Meditation is a place for you to exist in the world inside your mind,
And also in the sensory perceptions of your heart that are generated with each present moment experience,
With memories and with the new ideas and formulations that you hold.
Meditation is a place for you to exist in the space and time of now.
Where in your life do you allow this?
Why is meditation and the presence of each moment your spiritual path,
And the path of enlightenment?
Because the present moment and each moment that you live fully awake is all that you ever have.
It is what you have,
And it is enough to feel all of the blessings of your life.
It's time.
Time to face the fears you've been keeping a secret.
It's time to let go of the insecurities that cause you to doubt and avoid action.
It's time to step up into being more than you already are,
Because you have wanted to stretch yourself beyond what you have always done,
Or to give something new a try.
To live more aligned with your truth,
Your purpose,
Your desired and chosen destiny.
Will you decide this to be the year that you materialize all of the impending goals and dreams that you have?
Maybe this year you relieve the pressure,
The burden,
And reclaim the joy,
And all of the abundance that exists in so many forms.
Life in its true balance will always support you.
You just need to become clear about what you want,
And then hold this close as you take the action steps.
Because one thing about living in the physical world,
For as much as you can envision and dream,
You then need to step into the life you claim by living it first.
Your inner sanctuary is what builds and sustains your outer life.
In this episode,
I show you how to clear the space in your mind so that your inner being,
Your highest self,
Your spiritual self,
Can awaken for you the highest ideals that you have.
And if you are still figuring out what your highest ideals are for your life,
Meditation opens that door for you.
In quieting the mind,
You allow the mysteries of life to flow through you,
And you become an active observer of this in your awakened state.
Be open to the wonder and insight that you realize,
And the idea that everything is possible.
Visualize your mind and your heart wide open to the truth that finds you here and in the certain privilege and honor of love,
And of you being love.
Being love is not only a kind gesture or reaching out to support a friend.
These are good examples,
And they are just the beginning.
Being love is living as a being of love.
In the world,
In each moment.
It is choosing love over fear.
It is choosing love over needing to be right.
It is choosing to be loving when someone is angry and aggressive.
You can be loving and still uphold the boundaries that keep you safe and protected,
And then find a different time and space to speak your truth.
To change what you do,
You need to believe in the outcome.
You need to have proof,
Or at the very least,
Faith that what you are doing is an important part of the resolve to get you there.
And as you adjust and hold consistent to the goals,
The ideals,
And the intentions that drive your right actions,
You need to live open and expressive to the inner nature of your heart,
As a perceptive organ that holds the same type of neurons that are also in the brain,
And that sense the non-physical nature of life that your mind cannot.
This makes the heart an important tool for finding your right answers,
For leading you to what you need,
And for sensing and feeling based on knowing yourself well,
And allowing yourself to be inspired by the ideas that you remain open to.
The excitement you feel will build and sustain the momentum of what you want to experience,
Have,
Be,
Do,
Accomplish,
And live in your outer world.
This is your first step.
Whether right now with me,
Or after you listen to the rest of this audio,
Let's together witness the space and time for now,
For five minutes.
Begin here,
Because in five minutes,
Your whole life can change.
You can change in the space and time of now.
You can feel immense appreciation for all of the good that is.
You can recall one thing from yesterday,
Or earlier today,
Or this week,
That you did simply for you,
Or an experience you shared in with another living being,
All of which existed in the first place because you allowed yourself to open to it,
To make it happen.
You can also,
In the space of five minutes,
Open yourself to witness the divine,
And the spiritual opening to exactly what you need in this moment and beyond.
As I prepare to set the space for five minutes,
Find a comfortable posture and see what feels most natural for you.
Eyes open or closed.
I'm going to close my eyes,
Removing distraction from where I look.
Your practice is to notice,
To feel,
To awaken to your inner senses.
There are no rules,
No restrictions,
Just the simple release into the present moment,
Into now.
You may have some music in the background,
Or join me in silence as you continue to listen and attend to what is.
To be amazed by what you notice inside the vast and infinite world of your heart,
And your experience as oneness with the cosmos.
Lastly,
Let your breath lead you like an inner GPS.
Should you step away from your inner experience,
Notice that you have,
And find your breath once more.
Place your focus here.
Ride the waves of breath that lead you far deeper into yourself.
I'll begin our time at the sound of the Tingsha bells,
And I'll be right here with you,
Ending our five-minute practice of being with another ringing of these Tibetan bells.
One final tip before we begin.
You may want to use the word here to help remind you of where you are and where your attention is to be.
Here.
Right here.
In now.
Enjoy this beautiful sojourn.
See what awaits you.
Your mind and heart,
One.
Some days you will crave to be in the space and time of now for a little longer than five minutes.
So indulge yourself.
Every day,
Hopefully,
You will make this practice happen at least twice.
Once to set the intentions of peace and calm and love as they exist as a part of you.
And once at bedtime to soften and ease the flow of life from the day that you've just lived into the premortal space and time with which you allow for gentle release into now.
You may also wish to enjoy this five-minute practice at any other time in which you need to feel the timelessness of the present moment.
Begin with this.
I'm also going to encourage you to begin a 30-day practice challenge.
And if you do,
Record your experiences.
Feel the depth of wonder that you begin to build as appreciation and love and tenderness for yourself.
Drop me a note to say,
Yes,
I'm in.
I'd love to take this journey with you.
And also leave your comments and feedback from the experience you've just had right here.
This is your birth into meditation in free form,
The way it best exists for you.
I'm so grateful that you are right here with me.
And do keep an eye out for more meditative experiences in future episodes in the days and weeks and months to come.
Meditation will change your life beyond what you think is possible.
Sending you great love,
This is Dorothy.
