Gather your thoughts in.

Attend to your body.

Draw down with the breath.

Inhale deeper.

Exhale slower.

Taking a few moments to pause.

Slow down.

Reflect and not do.

Nothing to accomplish,

Nothing to achieve,

Nothing to change right now.

Just noticing how you feel in your body.

Your emotions,

Your thoughts.

Checking in with yourself.

Giving yourself attention that you would usually be giving elsewhere.

Reflecting.

When you don't get what you want,

What comes up for you?

Where do you feel it in your body?

Do you notice anything in your breath,

Or your pulse,

Or your muscles?

Digestion?

Tension,

Weariness,

Or sadness?

Do you feel it anywhere?

You don't have to put name to any of these things,

But you might feel disappointment,

Even rejection.

Bewildered.

Just sense these feelings.

Let them be.

Give them space in your body and your experience,

And then breathe a little deeper.

Exhale a little longer,

And see if you can use your breath to let those sensations ease.

Even dissipate.

Breathe into that sense of disappointment.

Maybe as you exhale,

You discharge some of it.

That would be good.

No,

It may not happen right now.

But you can always breathe into it again,

Even after this meditation.

Keep breathing.
