It is very difficult Matilda,

Really during a lot of times… do it with a family member.

So the Advaita path suggests that you first start with simple things,

Easier things,

Whatever is easy for you.

So for you,

You are saying things are easy.

So you started with things first.

Become very comfortable with every single thing in the house.

And it doesn't matter if you are going and repeating to yourself when I am touching the sofa,

It is nothing but perceiving of touch.

Is perceiving different from knowing?

No,

It is knowing.

So all I am knowing is sensing,

Sensations.

Sensations is mind phenomena.

And that mind phenomena,

Thought activity is not different from knowing.

So the sofa is made of knowingness.

I do not have proof if the matter exists.

All I know is my knowingness.

That's it.

That's all Advaita is saying.

Advaita is not saying that the matter does not exist.

Advaita is saying that the way I thought of it,

I had made assumptions in my mind,

The concepts in my mind,

Those were all illusions.

In my pure experience,

There is just perceiving and perceiving is not different than knowing.

Then go to another object and do the same.

Do it with other objects.

Slowly,

Slowly it will start as if a flood of knowingness,

Of awareness will start happening with these objects in the house.

And then you experiment with the stranger first on the street.

Just stand at your window and look at the stranger.

Do it with humans.

You do it with animals.

You do it with birds.

After you are comfortable with all these things and don't trigger your emotions and feelings,

Now you come to the humans that will make that feeling arise.

Because till now,

Simple feelings will be there.

Simple feelings will be there.

A pleasant feeling,

Seeing a pretty bird.

A pleasant feeling,

Seeing an animal,

A dog,

A cat.

A stranger,

Neutral feeling,

No feeling.

So you're not getting feeling yet.

You're only getting the physical senses to begin with.

Slight sound,

Taste,

Touch and smell.

And you're only getting a basic pleasant feeling with a bird or an animal.

That also if you like them.

And then you are moving on to the tougher zone where the not so good feelings can come up.

That's how you practice on the path of an innovator.

Because step by step,

You don't like push yourself in.

Okay.
