Let's do a self-exploration meditation on I Am That,

Chapter 19,

Neither the Created nor the Creator.

Let's close our eyes,

Let's sit comfortably.

Attempt to recognize the sensations happening in the space of awareness.

There are simply sensations arising and passing away.

It is this mass of sensations that is labelled as the physical body.

Keeping the eyes closed,

Recognize that sensations are arising and dissolving on their own.

Sensations of heaviness,

Sensations of heat or coldness,

Sensations of tingling,

Crawling vibrations,

Sensation of comfort or discomfort,

Sensation of pain or pleasure,

Sensation of pain or pleasure,

Sensation of pain Whatever the sensations are,

They continuously appear and disappear.

I am the observer of the sensations arising and dissolving.

I am not the sensations.

I am simply the witness of the sensations.

I am aware of the sensations.

The sensations are not aware of me.

I am the infinite expanse of awareness in which these sensations are arising and dissolving.

I am the infinite expanse of awareness.

I am not creating them.

I am not the creator of sensations.

I am simply the witness of the sensations.

If I dive deeper into the field of sensations,

I can clearly see that I contain the sensations.

The sensations are in me.

The sensations are made up of the same stuff as me.

The sensations are known by me.

I am the container of the sensations.

I am not their experiencer.

I contain the sensations just like space contains everything.

The sensations do not contain me.

Therefore,

I am not the creator.

I am not the created.

All is in me but nothing contains me.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

All these sensations are nothing but me.

I may give them different names like pain,

Pleasure,

Heat,

Coolness,

Vibrations,

Tingling,

Itching,

Etc.

Whatever be the nama-rupa,

Name and form of the sensation,

It is simply me,

The infinite expanse of awareness.

I am looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

I am not the creator.

I am not the created.

All is in me but nothing contains me.

Now take your attention to the sound of these words.

This is called the perception of sound.

Observe the sound arise and dissolve.

Observe the silence in the gap between two words.

Observe the gap appear and disappear.

I am observing the perception of sound arise and dissolve.

I am not the perception.

I am the witness of the perception.

I am aware of the perception.

The perception is not aware of me.

I am the infinite expanse of awareness in which these perceptions are arising and dissolving.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am not creating them.

I am not the creator of perception.

I am simply the witness of all perceptions,

Whether perceptions of sight,

Sound,

Smell,

Taste or touch.

If I dive deeper into the field of perceptions,

I can clearly see that I contain the perceptions.

The perceptions are in me.

The perceptions are made up of the same stuff as me.

The perceptions are known by me.

I am the container of the perceptions.

I am not their experiencer.

I contain the perceptions.

The perceptions do not contain me.

I am neither the creator nor the created.

All is in me but nothing contains me.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am simply looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

All these perceptions are nothing but me.

I may label them differently like sound objects,

Sight objects,

Smell objects,

Taste objects and tactile objects.

Whatever be the nama-rupa,

Name and form,

They are simply me,

The infinite expanse of awareness.

I,

The awareness,

Am looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

I am not the creator.

I am not the created.

All is in me but nothing contains me.

Take your attention to thoughts.

Thoughts are either verbal or visual.

Observe the thoughts arise and dissolve.

Observe the silence in the gap between two thoughts arise and dissolve.

I am observing the verbal or visual thoughts arising and dissolving.

I am not the thoughts.

I am the witness of the thoughts.

I am aware of the thoughts.

The thoughts are not aware of me.

In fact,

I am the infinite expanse of awareness in which these thoughts are arising and dissolving.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am not creating them.

I am not the creator of thoughts.

I am simply the witness of thoughts.

If I dive deeper into the field of thoughts,

I can clearly see that I contain the thoughts.

The thoughts are in me.

The thoughts are made up of the same stuff as me.

The thoughts are known by me.

I am the container of the thoughts.

I am not their experiencer.

I contain the thoughts.

Thoughts do not contain me.

Therefore,

I am not the creator.

I am not the created even.

All is in me,

But nothing contains me.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

All these thoughts are nothing but me.

I may label them as pleasant thoughts,

Unpleasant thoughts,

Evil thoughts,

Good thoughts,

Etc.

Whatever be the Nama Rupa,

Name and form,

They are simply me.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

I am not the creator.

I am not the created.

All is in me,

But nothing contains me.

Take your attention to your feelings.

Observe if there are any feelings arising and dissolving,

Whether pleasant or unpleasant.

Simply observe them.

Observe the silence in the gap between two feelings.

I am observing pleasant and unpleasant feelings arise and dissolve.

I am not the feelings.

I am the witness of the feelings.

I am aware of the feelings.

Feelings are not aware of me.

In fact,

I am the infinite expanse of awareness in which these feelings are arising and dissolving.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am not creating them.

I am not the creator of the feelings.

I am simply the witness of the feelings.

If I dive deeper into the field of feelings,

I can clearly see that I contain the feelings.

The feelings are in me.

The feelings are made up of the same stuff as me.

The feelings are known by me.

I am the container of the feelings.

I am not their experiencer.

I contain the feelings.

The feelings do not contain me.

Therefore,

I am not the creator.

I am not the created either.

All is in me,

But nothing contains me.

I,

The infinite expanse of awareness,

Am looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

All these feelings are nothing but me.

I may label them differently,

Like happiness,

Unhappiness,

Etc.

Whatever be the naam,

Roop,

The name and form,

They are simply me.

I,

The field of awareness,

Am looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

I am not the creator.

Neither am I the created.

All is in me,

But nothing contains me.

There is only me,

The consciousness,

Looking in the mirror and seeing myself in several illusory reflections.

My names and forms are numberless.

I am neither the creator of these names and forms,

Nor am I the created.

All is in me,

But nothing contains me.
