Making changes in ourselves can be one of the most challenging things to do.
Replacing positive habits with old ones takes a lot out of us and isn't always a clear path.
In this meditation,
I'm going to guide you through cultivating a clear path in which you will find patience,
Inspiration,
And progress for all your wishes.
Find a quiet place for your practice and do what you can to prevent distractions.
Be seated in your meditative posture and allow yourself to be comfortable.
Activate your abdomen and back to maintain a relaxed,
Upright spine.
Place your hands on your knees or in a mudra of your choosing.
Slightly draw in your chin and rest your gaze upon the space just ahead of you.
If you prefer,
Now is the time to gently close your eyes and mouth.
Let's start by deeply breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
Focus your attention on the breathing cycle as it will be your anchor throughout this meditation.
If thoughts arise,
Acknowledge them and let them go.
Simply return to the breath.
Bring each inhalation and exhalation to bring you clear presence and awareness of your senses.
Give yourself permission to relax,
Unwind,
And allow the natural state of being open and positive to fill this space.
Breathe in relaxation.
Breathe out tension.
Breathe in love.
And breathe out courage.
I'll begin with a quote from Nelson Mandela.
May your choices reflect your hopes,
Not your fears.
If we limit ourselves by what we know,
Then how can we expect to achieve our dreams?
We must lift the restrictions of our mind in order to discover what we're capable of.
Understand that you are not your thoughts,
Yet it is only you who can control them.
Understand that you are not your emotions,
Yet it is just you who can choose what to feel.
Understand that you are the creator of your reality.
You have been brought into this world to discover the magnificence of existence within this body,
This mind,
And this soul.
If you get stuck into a pattern of living which you no longer want to be a part of,
Then you must learn how to harness the power of the mind to create a new path.
Always be gentle with yourself and others.
Having understanding allows you to cultivate patience,
Which then becomes strength,
Which then becomes positive fuel and clarity for the difficult process of changing within.
Breathe in through the nose and out through the nose.
Be conscious of your breathing cycle and continue breathing in nice,
Deep,
Full breaths of air.
In out.
In with the rising of the belly.
Out with the falling of the belly.
In with the expansion of air filling up your lungs and abdomen.
And out with the exhalation.
Allow all your thoughts,
Emotions,
And bodily sensations to vanish.
Make the decision to not be governed by these things in this space.
They may inform you in this life,
But they are not the rulers of your world.
You are the ruler of your world.
You are the creator of your experience.
So right now,
In this moment,
Create a gentle space between you and the external world of sensations.
Your thoughts are excused every time they come up to the surface.
Your emotions are absolved for the purpose of clarity in this moment.
Your body is relieved of any pressures or demands right now.
Allow love to enter this space and invite strength to arise within you.
Empirical.
Often times,
We only need a little bit of patience and a bit of time spent in a truly restful state in order to find the power within ourselves to do whatever is necessary for change.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Follow your breath and connect with the energy flow of your breathing.
Taking the time and energy to focus on your breath can energize you and completely quiet your mind.
For the next few moments,
Place your intention on choosing positivity.
Allow all negativity to be forgiven and released.
Choose the goodness of being alive.
Your pain and suffering is pardoned for this time.
Connect positivity through the breath and knowing you are in a peaceful,
Restful state.
