Tranquility Phase 4 was inspired by the calm stillness that I have experienced during decades of yoga practice. The genesis of this practice was at the request of the many beloved students that have graced my path. It is my sincere hope that it will aid with their yoga and meditation practice.

Particular media interest and Begin now to focus on your breathing.

As you focus on your breathing,

Extend both inhalation and exhalation.

Allow the breath to seek its own natural rhythm.

As you continue to focus on your breathing,

Begin to visualize the breath being drawn in through the sole little left foot.

The next inhale moving along the left side of the body until you reach the top or crown of your head.

The next inhaling down the right side out through the sole of the right foot.

Draw the breath in through the sole of the right foot along the right side of the body until you reach the top or crown of your head.

Exhaling down the left side out through the sole of the left foot.

With each inhalation visualize the breath as white light revitalizing,

Rejuvenating your entire body from the sole of your foot to the top of your head.

And with each exhalation visualize and experience any tension,

Any stress flowing with the breath and purging it out through the sole of the opposite foot.

Each inhalation revitalizing,

Rejuvenating your entire body.

And each exhalation purging the body of any stress or tension.

Exhaling down the left side out through the sole of your head.

Exhaling down the left side out through the sole of your head.

Exhaling down the left side out through the sole of your head.

Exhaling down the left side out through the sole of your head.

Exhaling down the left side out through the sole of your head.

Shift your focus and awareness now to the area around your heart.

Begin to visualize your heart encapsulated by a sphere of pink light.

With each inhalation allow that sphere to expand,

Getting bigger and brighter with each new breath.

With each inhalation observe and experience that sphere of pink light radiating from your heart center,

Moving throughout your body,

Relaxing,

Revitalizing every muscle,

Every organ.

Right down to the last cell.

Continue to allow that sphere to expand,

Moving throughout your body.

All the way down to the tips of your toes.

All the way up to the top of your head.

And out to the tips of your fingers.

With each inhalation observe and experience that sphere expanding,

Moving outside your body,

And out into the room.

Observe it getting bigger and brighter with each new breath.

As it expands out into the room,

Allow it to join the spheres of light from the others in the room,

Becoming one,

Filling the entire room with a huge sphere of pink light.

Allow your awareness and energy to join that sphere of pink light and condense off into a smaller ball.

Visualize that smaller ball dropping down,

Down over your feet.

When it reaches your feet,

Experience every muscle let go and relax.

Move that awareness and energy now on up into the legs,

Relaxing the ankles,

The shins,

The calves,

And the knees.

Relaxing the tops of the thighs,

The backs of the thighs,

The buttocks,

All the way up into the hips and grind.

Relaxing,

Renewing each and every muscle and organ within,

So the entire lower portion of your body is completely relaxed and revitalized.

Continue the process on up into the stomach,

Into the solar plexus,

Relaxing,

Renewing all the muscles and organs within.

Continue the process on up into the chest and into the shoulders.

Dropping down over the left shoulder,

Down the arm all the way to your fingertips,

Completely relaxing and renewing your left arm.

Reverse,

Draw that awareness and energy back up into the arm,

Into the shoulder,

Moving across the shoulders,

Down over the right shoulder,

Down the arm all the way to your fingertips.

Reversing,

Draw that awareness and energy back up your right arm,

On up into the shoulder,

Moving to the back of the shoulders,

The back of the neck,

Relaxing each and every muscle throughout the neck,

The back of the head,

All the way up until you reach the top or crown of your head.

Shift that awareness and energy forward now into the face,

Relaxing all your facial muscles,

The forehead,

The eyes,

The nose,

The ears,

The jaw,

Even the tongue,

Letting each and every muscle let go and relax.

Return your awareness inward now,

Relaxing your thoughts.

As a thought comes to your conscious awareness,

Allow it to flow in with the inhalation and out with the exhalation.

Rather than focusing on it or judging it,

Let each thought drift in with the in-breath and out with the out-breath.

As you drift deeper and deeper into relaxation,

Drifting away into total and complete relaxation.

Begin bringing your awareness back now,

Coming all the way back to this room,

Becoming aware of your surroundings,

Coming all the way back,

Knowing that this moment of tranquility may be yours any time you choose and affirming the source of wholeness and renewal within yourself,

Resting as long as you like.

As you rest,

Let your awareness flow in with the in-breath and out with the out-breath.
