Transcript

Take a moment to get comfortable.

You might be sitting or lying down,

Whatever feels good right now.

Let your body be supported.

When you're ready you can close your eyes or simply soften your gaze.

We'll start by just noticing your breath.

No need to change it,

Just observe.

The inhale and the exhale.

Exactly as they are.

Now bring your awareness to your chest,

To the tops of your lungs,

The tops of your ribs.

Notice how much space there is here for your breath.

On your next exhale,

Invite this area to gently soften,

Without force,

Just allowing.

Allowing this area to soften even just a little bit.

Let your awareness travel a little bit lower now,

Into the diaphragm,

That band of muscle just under the ribs.

Notice how it moves as you breathe.

Notice if there's any tightness or holding there.

Let whatever you feel in this space be okay.

On your next exhale,

Gently invite this area to soften,

Using each exhale as an opportunity to allow this gentle softening.

Allowing a little more space for the breath.

And now bringing your awareness all the way up into your jaw.

Feeling into both sides of the jaw.

From your chin to the space just under each of your ears.

Feeling into the energy of the jaw,

The muscles.

Notice if there's any tension there.

Feeling into it.

No need to push it away or wrong it.

Simply observing.

On your next exhale,

Gently inviting the jaw to soften.

Letting the jaw unhook.

Letting the energy in the jaw gently soften,

Just a little bit.

I'm going to give you some space to simply rest here.

Stay with your breath.

Stay with any sensations moving through your body.

And let your body soften.

I'll bring you back in a couple of minutes.

Beginning now to deepen your breath.

Feel into the surface beneath you.

Feeling your whole self present in your physical body.

Inviting movement into your hands,

Your fingers,

Your feet,

Your toes.

Moving however feels good.

And when you're ready,

Slowly opening your eyes.

Glancing around the room.

I invite you to carry this softness with you into whatever comes next.
