I'm Jolie Wilson and I'm so excited to be here with you,
Guiding you through a 7 minute breath work practice.
I love the power that we have when we commit just small amounts of time,
But over time lead to big impacts and major results.
Before we get started with the 7 minutes of breathing,
I want to teach you two things and when I see you next time I'll teach you something else really incredible about the breath.
First and foremost,
Most people are breathing 14 to 16 breaths per minute,
Pretty much the whole world.
They think this is normal,
However it is damaging to your brain,
Your nervous system,
It releases adrenaline and cortisol constantly and keeps you in the fight or flight state.
The moment you begin to breathe better,
Deeper,
Fuller,
Slower,
Is the moment you transform your life.
Let's get started.
I'm going to count you in for an in-breath of 4,
Hold for 4,
Out for 4,
Hold out for 4.
At some point I'll change,
There'll be a breath retention at the top,
Breath retention at the bottom.
I'll be guiding you through it,
You don't have to remember,
Just follow my voice and stay present.

Expand your belly,
It's rounded,
Hold.
Where can you find more softness and ease?

Out.
Breath,
O-shaped mouth as full and deep as you can.
Breath at the top,
Take a few more sips of air in.
Hold it longer if you can,
When you need to as long and slow as you can.
Let the breath out,
Maybe you're still holding,

With control,
Let the breath go.
Hold the breath out and soften your body.
Hold the breath out,
There's no need to struggle,
Resist the first urge to breathe.
If you need to,
Take a half sip of air in,
Let it out,
Hold,
Soften.
It is said that it is in this space in which all of your answers can be found.
This is a space where you can access deep wisdom and it's okay to take the half sip in,
It's okay to take more than one.
Just like freediving,
Your lung capacity will expand over time.
One O-shaped mouth again.

Scrunch everything,
Scrunch eyes,
Face,
Fingers,
Toes,
Hold,

Hold.
Pull up your pelvic floor,
Even draw energy up through your body,
Hold it and squeeze,
Now relax your body,
Hold the breath if you can,

Fullest breath of your week.
You need to hold it out as long as you can without struggling.
Take a moment as we finish this breath practice to set your intention.
Remember that in this 3D earth plane,
Nothing exists without intention.

Vitality,
Whatever you need,
Ask for it.
It's one of the principles of manifestation,
Ask and you shall receive.
