This is going to be a really nice practice to recharge your energy,
To soothe your nervous system and to help you calm down and relax,
To really hold yourself here.
Okay,
So you can do this practice sitting down but if you can and whenever you can,
I invite you to go to lie down.
Lie down and also take off your shoes if possible.
This is an amazing practice to do on the ground,
On the earth but wherever you are just lying down comfortably and just focusing on that connection to the earth.
The earth is always holding you,
The earth is always here.
Keeping your knees bent,
Your feet grounded on the floor and let's just start taking a long exhale through the mouth and inhale for longer.
Feel your whole back connected to the earth,
Feeling that support and through your feet as well.
You are safe,
It's okay to relax now.
I'm going to guide you through one of my favorite breathing practices for soothing the nervous system and for really creating that safety from within.
So we're going to start with right hand onto your belly,
Left hand onto your heart.
Place the left hand on the heart and keeping that connection,
Let's take two deep breaths here.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Then bringing your right hand onto your forehead,
Just the top of your head holding here.
Inhale for longer,
Exhale for deeper.
One more breath here.
Then bring your left hand down onto your belly and then take two breaths again here.
Really breathing in that strength,
That calm and breathing out any tension,
Any heaviness that you might be holding.
If you want you can keep your knees separate or you can keep the knees together as the feet go a little bit wider.
Alright,
Now bringing your right hand to your heart,
Left hand stays on your belly,
Two more breaths here.
Then left hand back onto your forehead,
Stay here,
Two deep breaths.
Your own touch has so much healing and calming power to your whole system.
And then right hand down onto the belly.
Lovely,
Let's do it one more round.
Bringing your left hand down,
Inhale longer,
Two deep breaths.
Then left hand up,
Keeping right hand down.
Then right hand back to your heart,
Two more breaths.
And then left hand back down to your belly.
Beautiful,
Sending yourself that love,
Sending yourself that peaceful energy.
Here and now,
You are grounded,
You are present.
That's all that matters.
Let's now open the arms to both sides,
Keeping the elbows bent,
Keeping the knees together or separate.
Let's just finish off with this open heart with three deep cleansing breaths.
So exhale,
Leave your lungs empty,
Inhale for longer.
Exhale.
And again,
Inhale.
Exhale,
Release.
Beautiful,
One more time like this.
You are free.
And now if you are sitting,
Feel free to stretch the arms over your head.
If you are down on the floor,
Stretch your legs away,
Stretch your arms,
Nice and beautiful,
Long whole body stretch.
Exhale,
Bring your knees to chest,
Lift your head off the mat,
Give yourself some nice and big hug.
And then turn yourself to the side and let's raise up.
Now coming to seated position with your back nice and straight,
Beautiful,
Lengthening your spine.
Just notice how you feel here.
You just gave your nervous system a beautiful space to pause,
A beautiful space to restore and recharge that energy.
