Welcome to this yoga nidra practice for trust.
Settle into a comfortable supine position,
Gently close your eyes,
Take a moment to arrive.
Allow your breath to flow naturally without changing anything.
Just feel how your body is held by the surface beneath you.
I now invite you to an imagination journey.
Imagine a landscape where you feel comfortable and where you like to spend time.
This can be an imaginary landscape,
It doesn't have to be a real existing one.
Take your time to let this landscape emerge before your inner eye.
What does it look like?
What colors do you see?
What atmosphere prevails there?
Now imagine somewhere in this landscape a tree that you would like to go to.
One that perhaps even attracts you.
A tree that appeals to you.
Imagine that you walk to this tree and you make contact with it.
You can touch it if you wish or simply look at this tree.
Notice its trunk.
Take in the scent that emanates from it.
Then notice how the trunk branches,
How the branches spread out the leaves.
First,
Register all of this and make contact with this tree.
If it is possible for you,
You can imagine leaning against the tree and really feeling it.
And if the idea is pleasant to you,
You can imagine becoming one with the tree.
And then you can experience as a tree what it means to have roots that branch out in the earth and to absorb nourishment from them.
Experience what it is to have leaves that can absorb and transform sunlight.
If you don't want to merge with the tree,
Then simply observe it.
Consider what it might mean for the tree to have roots and leaves that branch out in the earth.
If you don't want to merge with the tree,
Then simply observe what it means to have roots and leaves that absorb sunlight.
And then consider the question of what you would like to be nourished by now,
What you would like to be provided with.
This might be physical nourishment,
Emotional nourishment,
Nourishment for the mind,
Your spiritual being.
And if you are one with the tree,
Imagine that you receive this desired nourishment from the earth and from the sun.
And if you have not merged with the tree,
You can still imagine what it means to receive nourishment from the sun and from the earth because this is also true for us humans.
When you feel it is time,
You can release yourself from your tree again.
If you wish you can promise it that you will return,
Say goodbye to it and thank it for its support.
Now bring your attention back to your body lying on the surface.
Feel the long,
Deep breaths,
Feel the natural flow of the breath,
And give your body permission to rest here and your mind to relax.
With a relaxed,
Open awareness,
Now begin a gentle and slow journey through your entire body and just follow my voice.
Now bring your attention back to your body lying on the surface of the earth.
Feel the long,
Deep breaths,
Feel the natural flow of the breath,
And give your body permission to rest here and your mind to relax.
Now begin a gentle and slow journey through your entire body and just follow my voice.
With a relaxed,
Open awareness,
Now begin a gentle and slow journey through your entire body and just follow my voice.
Feel the long,
Deep breaths,
Feel the natural flow of the breath,
And give your body permission to rest here and your mind to relax.

Connect directly with the sensations by feeling the body from within.
In certain areas of the body,
It is quite normal to feel numbness or to perceive no noticeable sensations.
Let your attention remain in these areas for a few moments in a relaxed and effortless way.
Just continue to flow with your awareness through your body as you follow my voice.
Direct your attention to the area of your neck,
Feel your throat,
And feel here without any judgment what sensations you feel.
Trust what reveals itself.
Perceive each of your shoulders from within.
Then let your attention slowly glide down your arms and feel the sensations and aliveness there.
Now begin a gentle and slow journey through your entire body and just follow my voice.
Connect directly with the sensations by feeling the body from within.
In certain areas of the body,
It is quite normal to feel numbness or to perceive no noticeable sensations.
Let your attention remain in these areas for a few moments in a relaxed and effortless way.
Notice if there's any tingling,
Pulsing,
Pressure,
Warmth,
Or cold.
Now direct your attention to your chest.
Explore the sensations in this area.
Here,
In the center of your body,
Where your breath flows,
Where your heart beats.
Trust the center of your life force.
Slowly allow your attention to sink down into your belly.
With a soft,
Receptive awareness,
Take a few moments to feel the sensations in your abdominal area.
This area may now relax.
Just trust this feeling.
Direct your attention to your upper back now.
Feel the sensations in the area of your shoulder blades,
The back that carries you and holds you upright.
Move downward now and perceive the middle back and the lower back and then the entire spine.
Feel trust into this supporting structure that accompanies you through life.
Allow your attention to continue gliding through your body.
Feel the sensations through your hips,
Your buttocks,
Your pelvic area.
What are the actual sensations arising here?
Don't judge.
Simply perceive.
Move slowly down through the legs.
Feel them from within.
Feel the sensations in your feet,
In every toe.
At the places where your body touches the floor,
Feel the sensations of contact,
Pressure and temperature.
Trust that you are being carried,
That the earth holds you.
Now open your awareness to include your whole body in a comprehensive way.
Perceive the body as a field of changing sensations.
Can you sense the subtle energy field that animates every cell,
Every organ in your body and gives it life?
Feel trust for this life force that flows through you.
While resting in awareness of your whole body,
If particular sensations call your attention,
Bring them a soft and allowing attention.
Don't manipulate your experience.
Don't grasp at anything and don't push anything away.
Simply open yourself to the changing dance of sensations.
Feel your body from the inside out.
Trust this process.
If no particular sensations call your attention,
Remain open to feeling energy simultaneously in all parts of the body.
Feel the energy in your whole body.
Trust that life carries you,
Nourishes you and flows through you.
Allow yourself to remain in this state of trusting awareness for as long as it feels right.
When you are ready to return,
Slowly deepen your breath.
Gently start moving your fingers and toes and stretch if you wish.
I invite you to take the trust you have experienced in this practice with you into your day.
Trust in your body,
In your inner wisdom and the forces that carry you.
Whenever you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Come back into this place,
Into this moment.
May you carry the feeling of trust and being supportive with you into your day.
Remember,
Your body is your reliable companion and you may trust it.
