Welcome back meditators,

It's day 5 and today we'll explore a different side of reality that we often ignore.

We will learn about how we use our speech and the power of silence.

There is so much wisdom in both.

If this is your first day,

I will recommend starting from day 1.

Now,

Find your most comfortable position either on a chair or cross-legged on a cushion.

Rest your hands gently on your knees or in your lap in a quiet and peaceful space.

Keep your back upright but not uptight.

You can now gently close your eyes and bring your awareness to the present.

As always,

Start by noticing your breath as it is,

Without making any changes.

Simply observe the natural rhythm of your breathing.

Feel it grounding you in this moment.

For the next few moments,

Count your breath to 5.

One full inhale and exhale is one cycle of breathing.

Now inhale,

Exhale,

That's one.

Again inhale and exhale,

That's two.

Just like that,

Keep breathing and counting till 5.

As you're more present now,

I invite you to reflect on your speech.

You might not be talking,

But there is always a voice that is present in your head.

That's what we are observing in this practice.

You might find that this voice is telling you something.

Something you need to do,

You have done or something you shouldn't do.

Whatever comes up,

Simply be aware without stopping it.

Our speech is powerful.

Our words can uplift,

Heal or create confusion.

So there is no need to judge.

Just simply observe these speech patterns.

For the next few moments,

Keep observing the silence.

Feel the stillness in the moment and the space between words.

If you find yourself getting lost in the stories,

Remember to relax,

Release the distraction and simply return to observing your speech.

Silence is a teacher.

In the quiet,

We find clarity and presence.

So embrace the silence around you now and notice how it feels.

Now,

Take this moment to simply be in this space of mindful reflection.

Take a moment to also reflect on the small or big wins you had in your practice today.

Beautiful work.

You have explored the delicate balance between speech and silence.

Both of which are powerful tools for mindfulness.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Tomorrow,

We'll shift our focus to our minds by observing our thoughts.

I'm excited to guide you and continue meditating on this journey with you.
