Dare to slow down. Just do it. Here’s a way in which you can begin to understand the power of this kind of pause: Even at a million miles an hour, we can see that anxious thoughts and feelings still take us nowhere. If we want to find that timeless, beautiful, relaxed state of self that all of us know we’re meant to live from, then we have to live as though we have all the time in the world.

Hello,

This is Guy Finley and welcome to the second session in our study of 31 keys to change your destiny.

The special insight that we will start each of these 31 keys with is designed to give you the big picture.

This first exercise is called the pause that refreshes.

Dare to slow down.

Just do it.

Here is a way in which you can begin to understand the power of this kind of pause.

Even at a million miles an hour,

We can see that anxious thoughts and feelings still take us nowhere.

If we want to find that timeless,

Beautiful,

Relaxed state of self that all of us know we are meant to live from,

Then we have to live as though we have all the time in the world.

Try to understand that this start of the new year doesn't start because we reach January 1st.

It starts when we decide that it's time for us to be a new kind of human being.

And that's why the first of these 31 keys has such great power.

Because if we can be awake enough to ourselves and feel something pushing us,

Then we can step out of that level of being and into the one that sees the truth.

That if we take the pause that refreshes,

That's the same as stepping out of the rush,

And stepping out of the rush is the same as stepping into now,

Where lives our true being.

I hope you'll join me tomorrow for our third session in 31 keys to change your destiny,

Where we're going to talk about the necessity of taking responsibility for our experience of every given moment.

Because it's as we learn the real meaning of that kind of responsibility that we find out at last how we change our destiny in the now by being present to our being that's creating it.

See you tomorrow.

I am ready now to become a new human being I don't have to wait till the beginning of the year for it to be a new year. Thank you for sharing this with us Namaste, my friend.

As I woke up this morning, thinking that yes I must go for a run yet thought perhaps with some physical ailments I need to go for a walk… This meditation popped up. Perhaps it’s a sign to slow down. As I go through some physical struggles… Struggles that I battle in my mind as much as I do with my body I do my best to keep so busy rather than slow down breathe and embrace the moments so thank you for today. I am going to slow down and embrace my walk this morning and enjoy the moments without running from the thoughts.
