This simple and effective breathing practice has been designed to bring you back to the present moment in times of disconnection, distraction, and stress. You'll emerge in less than 7 minutes feeling clear, focused, and ready to productively move through the remainder of your day. Return to this practice any time you feel that you could use some support in shifting your perspective back to the here and now.

If time is our most valuable commodity,

Then attention is the currency in which we trade time.

Our focus,

Our presence,

Our ability to be right here,

Right now,

All in.

This is the greatest currency of our lives.

So if you're feeling yourself a little distracted,

Maybe a bit disconnected,

Join me in this practice and just a few minutes of intentional breathing can deliver you to exactly where you need to be,

Right where your feet are.

To begin,

Please find any comfortable seat,

On a chair,

On the floor,

On a cushion,

Maybe with some support for your back.

When you find this seat,

Just allow the eyelids to close down.

Notice whether your natural breath wants to flow easily through your nose or through your mouth.

It makes no difference whether you breathe in or out through your nose or through your mouth as we move through this practice,

But keep the breath connected,

Without pause,

Without interruption.

Keep this breath flowing in this connected,

Easy rhythm.

You've got this.

When the mind says no,

Just let the body say yes by taking another breath in and another breath out.

You can do this.

Take a deep breath in,

And a full breath out.

Take another deep breath in,

And a long exhale,

Conscious,

Connected breathing.

Last five.

Last one.

Take a deep breath in,

And hold full,

Let all of the air course and move through you,

Holding that breath within you,

Having everything you need inside.

Relax the muscles of the face,

Decompress the muscles around the eyes.

Holding full for 5,

Exhale all of that breath away,

Breathe out,

Breathe out,

Breathe out.

Allow your respiration to sweetly return back to a natural,

Organic rhythm.

Before you fidget,

Before you open your eyes and meet the world,

Notice the sensations in your own body.

What can you feel?

This is presence.

Be light,

Be kind,

Be well.
