In this guided soundbowl meditation, we release the idea that you must experience “growing pains” on your journey. What if you could call your energy back inwards to recharge your capacity to meet your growth instead? This breathing exercise is perfect if you are feeling frustrated by things changing too slowly, overwhelmed by unexpected circumstances, anxious about new experiences, and self-doubt or imposter syndrome because of a lack of clarity or familiarity with your new environment.

Peace family and welcome to this week's theme which is big change takes big energy and not big pain.

This week's theme is all about supporting you with easing through growing pains.

I am Helen Marie,

I'm the founder and creator of Happy Chrysalis where I'm here to support you with moving through changes in your life through integrated mind,

Body and spirit practices.

In this week's meditation I'm inviting you to shift your experience at a cellular level of a growing pain that you are experiencing at the moment.

If you are going through a big change in your life it is likely calling for a new more empowered version of you to come into being.

As the current version of you meets the gap between who you are now and who you are becoming you may find yourself being frustrated,

Overwhelmed or fearful in the experience of this growth.

This meditation is here to support you in staying present through this growth and call back energy to you that may be lost in the idea of growth being painful.

I'm essentially here to remind you that big change takes big energy and not big pain.

So let's begin.

I invite you to make sure that you're in a comfortable seated position where you won't be disturbed for the next few moments,

Sitting either on the floor or on a chair with your spine upright and supported.

As you close down your eyes start to slow down your breathing and connect into your breath.

Inhaling at your own pace for a count of four.

Holding that breath when you get to the top just feeling it land in your body.

And then exhaling gently to release for a count of four.

Inhaling again in through your nose for a count of four.

Hold that breath at the top just inviting you to bring presence into your body.

And then gently exhale through your nose for a count of four.

Repeat that twice more at your own pace.

And as you do that feel into the support of the ground beneath you,

What we call in Kemet,

Father Geb.

That masculine energy holding us up.

Either where your sit bones connect to the floor or where your feet connect to the floor.

Just notice where the earth is supporting you and invite your body to relax even more.

Now I invite you to call to mind a situation on your journey that is causing you frustration,

Overwhelm,

Fear or any other way that your pain body may be being triggered.

As you call this situation to mind begin to surrender your desire to protect yourself and fully give yourself over to embodying the frustration,

The pain,

The overwhelm just as it's present for you.

Trust that you're being guided in a safe space to clear what's coming up in this present moment.

Continue to breathe deeply,

Allowing your awareness to expand through the experience of these emotions and allowing the energy to move through your body in any way it will.

As you do this you're creating space to become truly aware of how these emotions are affecting your energetic experience.

And now that you're fully aware of the feelings behind this frustration I invite you to call to mind the situations and the spaces,

The places and relationships in your life that your feelings about this growth are playing out.

You may be surprised to notice that these emotions can be playing out in different ways in different spaces.

Without judgment call these spaces to mind.

And now working with breath we will begin to reintegrate this dispersed energy back into your being.

So now taking one of these situations where your feelings,

Your frustration,

Your overwhelm or fear about this growth may be playing out,

I invite you to notice how your energy is stuck in thoughts here and take a deep breath in calling that energy back into your body.

Your restoration come through your inhale and exhale any resistance to surrendering that situational thought.

Repeat this another time inhaling calling back to you the energy that's wrapped up in those thoughts.

Your restoration come into your body with the breath and then exhale to release and surrender any resistance.

Now we'll continue to work with the same process for the next few moments.

Take as much time as you need on any particular situation to notice how your energy is caught up in the thought.

Take a deep breath in calling that energy back into the core of your being and exhaling to resist any resistance that may come up mentally or physically to taking your energy back.

When you're ready move on to a new situation and as you breathe in inhale any energy that might be wrapped up in external thoughts.

Your restoration come into your body as you breathe in that energy and exhaling to release and surrender any resistance to letting go.

Inhaling again calling energy back into your being noticing that gift of restoration.

Exhale to release any resistance to letting go.

Inhaling calling energy back into your being noticing the gift of presence and restoration.

Exhale to release any resistance to surrendering and letting go.

Inhaling again calling energy back into your being through breath feeling the gift of restoration and presence and exhale to release any resistance towards letting go.

We'll repeat this three more times inhaling again calling energy that's lost in thought or feelings back into your being feeling the gift of restoration and presence and exhaling to release any resistance to surrender and letting go.

Inhaling calling energy back into your being feeling the gift of presence and restoration and exhaling to release any remaining resistance to letting go.

Once more inhaling in to call back any energy caught in any of these external situations feeling the gift of presence and restoration and exhaling to release and let go of any resistance to surrendering and letting go.

And now for the next few moments I invite you to just enjoy the gift of presence and restoration that has come through this process keeping your eyes closed and your breath deep.

And as you take these moments I invite you to reflect with this newfound energy that's in your being asking yourself a few questions like where have I allowed my energy to be drained from my being?

What is my frustration my overwhelm or my fear inviting me to learn?

How can I be more empowered right now?

Where do I need to have compassion and forgive myself?

And now I invite you to bring your hands into prayer in front of your heart space and bow your head in gratitude for this divine wisdom that you've received today.

When you're ready start to bring some movement back into your body stretching out arms and legs wriggling fingers and toes and gently opening your eyes.

So after this meditation I invite you to take a few moments to write down what came up for you and enjoy the gift of this new insight as you continue along your journey.
