This 5-minute meditation for emotional release works with the sacral chakra and mindfulness to manage emotions in three steps. Step one: Acknowledge emotions that may be present. Step two: Feel the emotions in your physical body. Step three: Allow yourself to release them. This is a longer version of the 1-minute meditation for emotional release.

Hi I'm Paula from Happy Yoga Wales and this is a five-minute meditation for emotions for the Saikul chakra.

So come and find a comfortable seat and reach tall through the crown of the head,

Taking moments to roll the shoulders back and feel the sits bones grounded on the seat on the floor and for our practice today go ahead and bring the thumb and index finger of each hand together and just place it so that your thumb is just about belly button height.

And if this isn't comfortable for you you can just bring the hands to the knees or any other position that feels good.

And if it feels right,

Closing the eyes and noticing the breath on the nose and then following the path of the breath all the way down to this pelvic area where the Saikul chakra is located.

Now Saikul chakra is all about emotions and so as we continue to breathe noticing any feelings and emotions that might be there.

And simply notice seeing if we can tune into this emotional body without the thinking mind getting in the way.

Resisting the urge to label emotions as good or bad.

Trying not to judge or have thoughts of liking or disliking but rather fully breathe into this Saikul chakra area and fully feel any emotions that are there.

And as you continue to breathe and feel let these emotions fill the whole body keeping the breath even steady.

And then repeating to yourself,

I feel.

I feel completely.

I allow myself to feel completely.

And as you continue to breathe deeply with each exhale letting go of any of these emotions that aren't serving you today.

We first acknowledge our emotions are there and we feel them completely and then we give them permission to let go.

And when you're ready releasing the hands back down onto the thighs.

If the eyes are closed,

Blinking them open taking one more big breath in together and exhale sigh it out.

Bringing the hands the heart center and a smile to the lips.

Thank you for practicing with me today and I hope to see you again soon.

Namaste.
