Welcome to this meditation for the nervous system.
If you can please take yourself into a comfortable position,
Somewhere with the spine straight.
Now see if you can allow the body to get even more comfortable.
Adjust what you need to adjust.
Wriggle around,
Sigh out and then gently bring the body to stillness,
Allowing everything to settle.
Slowly deepening the breath now,
Keeping the body relaxed,
While ever so gently the ribcage is expanding outwards,
Left to right,
Front to back and very gently letting the breath go.
Intentionally relaxing all the body muscles down.
Intentionally relaxing all the facial muscles.
Let the eyes be heavy and if there is any tension anywhere in the body,
Simply breathe into those areas.
Acknowledge them,
Provide comfort through the breath and then let the attention move from there to the whole body and if there are any persistent thoughts,
Use the breath as well to breathe in acknowledgement and then gently exhale them out,
Bringing a blank canvas into the mind's eye.
One more deep intentional breath of relaxation and now allowing the breath to simply flow in a very gentle,
Comfortable manner.
Let's place our attention now in the center of the pelvic area,
In the center point between both hips,
In the center of the root chakra and with your attention here,
Simply notice without trying to change anything,
Without analysing,
Just pure awareness and now bringing the breath into this area.
Keeping the focus there while gently deepening the breath and then as you relax the breath into its most natural,
Comfortable rhythm,
Visualize a little seed in the center of the pelvic region,
Center of the root chakra and you notice the seed because of its light quality.
There's a beautiful glowing light,
Gentle,
Soft,
Just the perfect temperature and all you need to do to germinate the seed,
To care for the seed and as it grows into a plant and into a tree,
The nourishment will continue to be the same and that is your breath.
So let's intentionally breathe into that seed and perhaps you're noticing something happening,
Some movement.
Keep on breathing into the seed and now if you haven't noticed already,
It's starting to germinate and watch it expand and first you become aware of its roots,
Its roots that are moving down through your left leg,
Through your right leg,
All the way down through both legs,
Into both feet,
Into all toes.
Notice how the fine fibers of the roots reflect the fine web-like quality of your nervous system,
Of your nerves traveling down and through your limbs and bringing attention back to the root chakra where it all began and where it continues to begin.
And as you breathe once more into this area,
Become aware of the movement upwards.
You become aware that the seed is growing into a beautiful plant that is reaching through your midline,
Growing stronger and firmer until it's so solid you notice this beautiful tree trunk that moves through your center line.
It's strong and it's stable and it's the home of your central nervous system.
Let's take a breath in to the root center again and as you exhale take your attention upwards into the lower abdomen area.
Just noticing this lower part of your stable strong tree trunk and breathe into this area now and then as you exhale move up into the upper abdomen region.
Noticing the trunk of your tree here and its quality in this region.
Breathing in here and then as you exhale move up into the center of the chest and you notice that from the center of the chest there are many branches to the left and to the right and you follow these branches of nerves adorned with beautiful leaves as they flow down and through your left arm and down and through your right arm and you feel the life in all of your limbs now and returning the attention back to the heart center in the center of the chest.
Breathing in here and then exhale as you continue to move through the center line of your tree moving up through the center of the throat and pausing here and just noticing.
Breathing into the throat area and on the exhalation allowing the attention to guide you into the center of your head.
Breathing in to the center point and just feeling the sensation of calm and allowing a lightness to filter through all the nerves and all the foliage of the top part of your tree.
One more deep breath in and on the exhalation take your awareness now to your crown crown of your tree the place where the golden sunlight filters through and meanders down through the center line of your body through the center line of your tree trunk filtering out left and right sides filtering down into the roots and as you connect the tips of your toes and the soles of your feet you breathe in all the minerals through your roots up through your holistic nervous system through the base of your trunk and you just watch and notice and feel as those minerals know exactly where to travel traveling through all tiny branch like feelings of the entire nervous system reaching each and every nerve ending point ensuring that your entire nervous system is nourished and cared for complete and all you have to do now is trust trust in this beautiful design that is with you every day knows exactly what to do when to raise when to be active and all the experiences of connection in between allow the focus to settle the mind to rest as letting the whole body sink down relax down sighing out and intentionally hold that feeling and that awareness of trust not only in your mind also in your heart and in that seed point where it all began allow your whole body to resonate with trust complete trust in the design of life
