Hello and welcome to your morning check-in meditation.
I'm honoured that you're here today and you should feel proud of yourself for taking this time for you.
When you're ready go ahead and find a comfortable position.
This may be lying down for you today or maybe you prefer to sit on a chair or maybe you want to sit up in bed.
Whatever feels good for you in this moment.
When you're ready close down your eyes.
If closing your eyes doesn't feel good for you this morning maybe you just want to take a gentle gaze towards the floor.
Try to do this in low lighting and then when you're ready I invite you now to take a large inhale through your nose filling into your chest into your tummy taking a slight pause at the top and then when you're ready opening your mouth as you take an exhale and think the word release taking another large inhale through your nose filling up with that vital breath taking a slight pause at the top and then when you're ready exhaling through your mouth as you think the word release.
One more large inhale through your nose expanding your rib cage filling yourself up taking a slight pause at the top and again when you're ready exhaling through the mouth as you think the word release.
And now when you're ready I invite you now to come back to your normal breathing pattern however that is for you in this moment.
We're no longer manipulating the breath we're letting it do whatever it desires to do in this moment but observe maybe you can observe the rise and fall of your tummy maybe you can observe the sensation as the breath goes into your nose and as it exhales through your nose just become aware of your breathing in its natural rhythm.
As I invite you now to check in with yourself.
So often we ask others how they are but how often do we ask ourselves how we are?
As I invite you now to ask yourself how am I this morning?
How am I?
And I don't mean how are you walking down the road bumping into someone top line I mean how are you really this morning?
Asking yourself how am I really?
And now being curious to the reply maybe the reply was in words maybe it was in a visualization maybe a sensation a feeling a thought whatever it is just observe without any judgment not forcing a reply just being curious to the response and now asking yourself is it that I can do for myself today?
What is it that I can do to make myself feel good?
And if you feel good already great what can you do today to make yourself feel great?
And if you feel great amazing what can you do today to make yourself feel amazing?
And if you feel amazing that's amazing but what can you do to feel even better?
Always striving to make ourselves feel our best self but this doesn't have to mean doing it can also mean being holding no judgment to the response that you get but listening sensing feeling whatever the response is but becoming aware of what it is that you can do today for yourself maybe this is giving yourself some extra love and compassion maybe it's you need to slow down today take a moment to pause a moment for you or maybe it's you want to get out in nature connect or maybe you're striving to do something else that's gonna make you feel great whatever it is just let it be we tend to think of ourselves as a single being when actually we're so much more asking yourself how do I feel mentally how is my mental being today how is my emotional being how is my mental and emotional being today again being curious to the answer maybe it's not even an answer again maybe it's a sensation a feeling a visualization a knowing whatever it is allow it to speak to you as you ask yourself how am I feeling physically how is my physical being today what does my body feel does it feel disconnected from the mental being or do they feel connected as you ask yourself how do I feel spiritually am I connected to my true self my soul the divine within and notice if there's any disconnect here do they feel very much individual or do they feel connected as to what we truly are knowing we are so much more than just our physical being knowing we are so much more than our mental emotional being knowing we are so much more than our spiritual being knowing our higher self is all of these connected together as I now invite you to let it go whatever it is that may have come up take a large inhale through your nose and as you exhale through the mouth think the word release as I invite you now to set an intention for your day how do you want to feel or be getting into bed this evening as you pull the covers up around you what is it that you want to have done today whether it's doing or whether it's just being whether it's achieving whatever it is how do you want to feel as you go to bed this evening and is there anything now that you can tell your present self about your day that's gonna change now your next steps that's gonna change your day as you finish this meditation and you go about the rest of your next moments I invite you to really feel into this intention for your day feel into this intention knowing you've already done it you've already lived out this day that you so desire to have and imagine as you drift off to sleep you feel relaxed and calm you feel fulfilled I invite you now to take a large inhale breathing in that intention and as you exhale through your mouth let that intention go one more large inhale through your mouth and exhale now you've already lived out your day you've already set your intention now what is it that you can do to achieve that and what is it that you can do for yourself as you asked yourself at the beginning of this meditation what is it that you need to do to feel good to feel great to feel amazing I've got a big smile on my face how does it feel for you to smile right now to you may want to start wiggling your fingers and your toes as you come back more into the present moment it may feel good for you to stretch your arms up above your head wheeling in your fingers and your toes still as you have a smile on your face and you know exactly what it is that you desire for your day taking one more large inhale and as you exhale when you're ready gently open your eyes and go and create the day that you absolutely desire
