This guided meditation will help you calm your mind and relax your body,
Letting you drift off into a restful sleep.
Take a few moments now to make your body feel comfortable.
Settle into the place that you've chosen to rest.
Gently close your eyes.
And notice a sense of relaxation spreading through your entire body.
Feel any sensations of warmth or cool.
Feel any sensations of warmth or cool.
Welcome any sounds that arrive at your ears.
And in the same way,
Welcome any fragrances to your nose.
Just calmly be with whatever arises and let it go.
Notice the feeling of air on your skin.
Notice the touch of fabric against your body.
All the sensations that give you the feeling that your body is resting in comfort.
Now bring to mind a safe place where you feel supported.
Somewhere you feel a sense of well-being and calm.
Imagine a person,
A place or an experience that helps you feel at ease.
And rest with this thought and the feeling of relief.
Allow your attention to be drawn to the sensations of your body breathing.
Notice how your chest moves up and down.
Feel how each breath gently fills your body and then releases.
Begin to count back from 10 to 1.
And each time you exhale,
Count back.
Naturally relaxing further and further with each exhale.
And now you feel a sense of relief.

Now become aware of the sensations at the top of your head.
And gently move your attention to the back of your head.
Now around to the face,
Noticing the sensations at your forehead.
And down to your eyebrows,
Your eyes,
Nose,
Lips,
Chin.
Feel your entire head all at the same time.
And feel all of the muscles in your head relax.
Relax.
Now notice sensations in your neck,
Your throat.
Feel the muscles becoming soft,
Relaxing.
Now move your attention down to your shoulders.
Feel your shoulders relaxing.
Now move to the top of your left arm.
Moving down through the arm to your left lower arm.
Left wrist.
Left fingers.
And now to the top of your right arm.
Moving down the arm into the right lower arm.
Right wrist.
Right fingers.
Now feel both arms and hands at the same time.
Feel all the muscles in your arms relax and let go.
Now feel the sensations at the top of your back.
Flowing down your spine.
And slowly moving down to the top of your pelvis.
Now move your attention to the front of your body to the top of your chest.
Moving down to your ribs.
And to your belly.
Now feel all of the muscles of your torso at the same time.
And feel them all releasing,
Letting go.
Become aware of the sensations in your left hip.
And moving down into the left upper leg.
Through the knee into the left lower leg.
All the way down into your left foot.
Now bring your attention to the right hip.
Moving down into the right upper leg.
Further down through the right knee and into the right lower leg.
All the way down into the right foot.
Now feel all of the sensation in both legs at the same time.
Feel any tension in the legs leaving through the feet.
Now feel your whole body all at once.
Imagine all the sensations of your body like stars in the night sky.
Relax as you watch the twinkling sensations in this limitless body.
Feel each breath flowing freely through this space.
Flowing with the sensations of your body.
Now feel the sensations of your body.
