A live music meditation with short guided introduction. This piece features the rhythmic interplay of handpan and shaker layered over soft ocean waves. The shaker is recorded to create bilateral stimulation, a recording technique that encourages communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. This track can be used day or night as a nervous system reset to calm the body/mind for renewal or sleep, whatever may be needed. Voice, Handpan and Shaker recorded by James Kellerman, ©2025

Welcome.

I created this recording to help you regulate your nervous system and restore your body to a sense of calm.

You have the power and capacity to change how you feel and bring healing to your life.

Light a candle,

Turn off any alerts or bells that may distract you.

Find a comfortable position for your body and listen with some headphones.

When we are in a state of anxiety or fear,

Anger or ruminating on a treadmill of negative thoughts,

Our brains become fragmented and incoherent.

Reflection and perspective seem lost and feelings in the body can be overwhelming.

The music that follows uses bilateral stimulation as intervention for when you are experiencing this overwhelmed state.

You'll hear the shaker move from left to right to left to right,

Creating an effect that encourages communication and the free flow of information between the left and right hemispheres of your brain.

By listening to this and consciously focusing on breathing,

We'll change how your brain cells fire and signal to your nervous system that it's safe to be present in the here and now.

Let's start.

Take a big breath.

Fill all the way up and exhale slow.

On your next breath in,

Feel your back expand.

Without lifting your shoulders,

Fill up the bottom part of your lungs.

Let your air out real slow.

Continue to breathe as deep as you can.

Just notice how it feels in your abdomen to really fill up all the way.

Continue to breathe fully,

Deeply,

And enjoy your rest.

That was amazing! So relaxing. I dozed off a few times. I’m definitely going to check out your other tracks.

I found this surprisingly helpful (I go into anything that could help me with a healthy dose of skepticism)... I could actually feel the sounds and their movements overriding the chaotic fragments of anxiety in my mind. I will come back to this track again, and hope you make/share more along the same lines. THANK YOU.
