This is a quick meditation/visualization to help you come home into your body after a difficult day or to simply breath and arrive into presence. I wrote this meditation thinking about the mothers who may feel overwhelmed, stress and even anxious being a mother through a pandemic.

Welcome to this meditation.

I know your soul is weary.

I know that the chaos of life and your day sometimes leaves you breathless.

Disconnected from yourself.

I invite you to find a space that feels safe.

And sit or lay.

Find a position that feels good for you.

Take a moment to feel your body touching the surface of what you may be sitting or laying on.

Feel your legs relax into their position.

Open your chest.

Allow your breath to travel freely.

Feel your shoulders relax as you inhale and exhale.

And slowly direct your attention to your head.

To your mind.

Allow any thoughts to fly by while you focus on your breath.

On your body.

Take a deep belly breath.

Allow the day to exit your body and wash away any emotion,

Anything that may be arising in your body.

Continue breathing this way.

Taking deep belly breaths.

Holding your breath for one or two counts.

And releasing.

Continue to breathe in this way.

Now I want you to picture yourself in front of the ocean.

Watching the waves draw themselves away from the shore.

And return back to you.

There's nothing or no one around you.

Just you and this beautiful body of water.

Now picture yourself sinking your breath to the waves.

Continue breathing.

Now I want you to slowly reenter your body.

I want to remind you that you are safe.

And anytime you begin to feel breathless.

Anytime you feel weary.

You can return to your inner ocean.

You can return to yourself.

Now open your eyes.

Allow the light to shine into your eyes.

As you venture back into your day.

You can always return to your inner ocean anytime during the day.

Thank you.

Namaste.
