I In this meditation we'll let the mind do its own thing and we'll just try to remain as the knowing space in which all of the activity happens.
So allow yourself to stop and just be like still flowing water.
So let's try to remain as the knowing space in which all of the activity happens.
So let's try to remain as the knowing space in which all of the activity happens.
So let's try to remain as the knowing space in which all of the activity happens.
With mindfulness you learn to look at things from an existential point of view.
Allowing things to exist rather than trying to even them out or bulldoze the whole landscape.
With this view fighting or resistance isn't necessary.
Just being aware of the way things are right now.
With this view fighting or resistance isn't necessary.
With this view fighting or resistance isn't necessary.
With this view fighting or resistance isn't necessary.
With this view fighting or resistance isn't necessary.
Inviting the mind to find a peaceful abiding in this choiceless awareness.
This choiceless awareness.
This choiceless awareness.
In a mirror of your mind all kinds of pictures appear and disappear.
Knowing that they are entirely your own creations.
Watch them silently come and go.
Be alert but not perturbed.
This attitude of silent observation is the very foundation of meditation.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
Just remain in the center watching.
And then forget about it.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
See if you can extend this listening attitude to everything.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
Because we are so accustomed to doing things all the time.
Doing nothing can be a real challenge.
Just being sounds uncomplicated.
But it's difficult.
And so when we forget ourselves and we lose attention.
Have we become absorbed into some train of thought.
We just bring awareness back.
Re-establish mindfulness.
Awareness in the here and now.
Just listen to whatever is happening right now.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
You see the picture but you are not the picture.
When I say to re-establish awareness in the here and now.
That is actually not quite correct.
Because when we look closely we see that nothing happens outside of the here and now.
Our regrets about the past.
That's thoughts and feelings happening right now.
Our worries and concerns about the future.
That's also happening right now.
So it's more correct to say that we are reminding ourselves of the state of affairs.
That everything is now.
We can't just say that we are not.
We are not.
We are not.
We are not.
We are not.
We are not.
We are not.
Try to be mindful and let things take their natural course.
Then your mind will become still in any surroundings,
Like a clear forest pool.
All kinds of wonderful rare animals will come to drink at the pool,
And you will clearly see the nature of all things.
You will see many strange and wonderful things come and go,
But you will be still.
This is the happiness of the Buddha.
This is the happiness of the Buddha.
This is the happiness of the Buddha.
This is the happiness of the Buddha.
Everything is now.
This is the happiness of the Buddha.
This is the happiness of the Buddha.
