To succeed at a meeting,

Interview,

Or an event that is important to you,

Practice SBS – stop,

Breathe,

Smile.

Before each important event,

Take the time to use this tool and your imaginary fear of failure will vanish.

Here are the three steps.

First action,

Stop what you're doing.

Mark a pause,

Stop.

Wherever you are,

In the street,

In a hallway,

In an office,

Alone or in a group,

Focus your attention on a single object and only that object – a door knob,

A pencil,

A table,

Or a distant landscape – so you can refocus on your feelings.

Quieten your mind and find a balanced position.

Straighten up,

Adopt an upright posture like a tree.

Feel good,

Stand firm,

Solid on both your feet like a deeply rooted tree.

Straighten your spine and let the energy flow.

Imagine a string pulling you upwards towards the sky,

Making you grow.

Stretch your back,

Feel how straight it is.

Gently lower your elbows and you will feel your shoulders loosen.

Your shoulders are relaxed,

Let them fall forward to relax the nape of your neck.

Place your hands on your thighs,

Feel the warmth from them.

Your hands are channeling your energy.

Tuck your chin in slightly,

Feel the tension in your face.

Relax the folds between your eyebrows,

Relax your jaw,

Your mouth should be slightly open.

Develop your senses,

Accept everything that is around you,

Sounds,

Smells,

Sensations.

Now you can feel you are in a posture that embodies presence,

Peace and stability.

And when you are ready,

Focus your attention on your breathing.

Second exercise,

Use your breathing.

Now become aware of your breathing to help you feel your body.

You are calm and open and fully aware of your abilities.

Listen to your breathing,

Breathe in and out slowly through your nose.

Focus your attention on the sensation of the air moving in and out of your nostrils.

Focus your attention on the air going down towards your stomach.

Focus your attention on your stomach as it inflates and deflates slowly.

To help you stay focused,

Concentrate on the comings and goings of your breath.

Adopt this rhythm,

Count slowly,

While inhaling,

3,

4,

On exhaling,

1,

2,

While inhaling,

3,

4,

While exhaling.

Visualize your breath as it enters and exits your body.

To concentrate your attention on your breath,

Use your mind.

Use breathing as an anchor to hold your attention here in this moment.

Concentrate on your breath and your thoughts will vanish.

Live the relaxed state that washes over you to stay focused.

Keep your eyes fixed on your focal point,

The door handle,

The table.

Observe yourself,

Continue on your path.

Concentrate on your goal to seek the means to succeed.

Now use your breathing to fill the space,

To strengthen your self-confidence.

You are very relaxed.

You feel the movements of your breathing throughout your body.

Now you feel good,

You feel balanced.

Third action,

Free your smile.

Close your eyes and visualize yourself smiling now.

Smile inwardly to encourage yourself.

Believe in yourself and in your success.

Smile with sincerity and power.

Enjoy this moment and smile with conviction.

Really smile.

You feel the well-being take over your body.

This smile will make you invulnerable.

To find your self-confidence,

It is now time for you to act.

Enter into an agreement with yourself.

Let the smile fill you and smile at your success.

Now you can feel the strength driving you and you have the means to succeed.

You are centered,

Alert and in harmony with your body.

Now congratulate yourself for the exercise you have just completed.

You have just demonstrated how skillful you are.

You are able to cope when faced with difficulties or challenges.
