Hello and welcome to this meditation.
My name is Jelena and I'm very happy to have you here with me.
Today we are going to work on releasing our attachments using Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
That is basically clearing our path to enlightenment.
We all logically know that we need to release our attachments,
We get it,
But it is very difficult to do as some of our attachments are pretty stubborn or pretty deep and hidden.
So this process might take a couple of tries or even more until we get to those very deep and stubborn ones.
So we are going to try to identify our attachments and release all the past conditioning because attachments are actually quite limiting as they are the way we use to control life and people and ourselves.
And while we know that it is not actually possible to control,
We like to hold on to the idea or to the attachment of control.
So in this process today,
Acknowledge the feelings that come up but don't get hooked to the story,
They say.
Also look at the attachments in the places of anger or pride,
That's where they usually hide.
We are going to offer our attachments to the universe or to God or to Christ or to life,
Higher power,
However you want to address it.
And while most giving we normally do is associated with some kind of gain or feeling good about ourselves or trying to help someone,
We always know the result.
But in offering our attachments to the universe,
We do not know what will happen.
And this is why we don't know the effect and this is why this kind of giving is pure and helpful.
So shall we begin.
Please find a comfortable place where you won't be disturbed for a while.
Make sure you are sitting comfortably or lying down,
Preferably sitting so you don't fall asleep.
Make sure your back is straight,
You're sitting in a comfortable position that you can hold for a bit longer.
That your shoulders are relaxed.
Your hands are resting in your lap.
Your eyes are closed or slightly open.
Now let's take a couple of minutes to rest our mind in open awareness.
So you do not need to focus on anything.
Let your mind be open,
Be free.
Leave behind your day.
Do not look into the future.
Bring all your energy,
Your mind and your body into the present moment and just rest.
Notice whatever comes to your mind,
Whether sensations,
Thoughts,
Feelings,
Sounds,
Notice them,
Let them go.
If your mind wanders,
Just notice that and bring your focus back and keep resting in open awareness.
Now let's look into our attachments.
So first think of the objects and places of pleasure.
Maybe there's a special spot in the garden you're pretty attached to,
There's an object someone gave you or you're brought in a special place that you're attached to.
Recognize the attachment,
Acknowledge all the thoughts and feelings that come with it.
And then offer those attachments to the universe or to the God,
The life.
Next look into wealth,
Which is not necessarily only material.
Wealth can be anything you treasure.
It could simply be a note from your grandpa,
Grandma that you keep dear.
Think of your own personal wealth,
Something that makes you proud.
Find attachment and offer it to the universe.
Humans are created in order to look at things from inside of you.
Even ever since then,
Ipop have been stored with mystery stuffs.
Into the roles and identities.
Every day we play a lot of roles,
At home,
At work,
In our community,
And there are roles that we are attached to strongly.
We maybe identify with that role.
We also have a lot of identities we have created.
Maybe it's important to us to be a good girl or a good boy,
Or maybe we are a victim,
Or maybe we need to be a hero.
Notice the identities you have built around your core and release the attachment you have to them.
Notice the feelings that come up,
The stories you're telling yourself.
Notice them and allow them to move on.
Notice them and allow them to move on.
Next is a difficult one.
We should look into our attachments to our family and friends,
To our parents,
Brothers and sisters,
Children,
Even our pets,
Close friends.
Releasing these attachments may seem like a loss,
But actually by releasing attachments,
We are not losing the person.
We are just freeing the person and ourselves and allowing the life and divine will to flow freely.
So look into your relationships,
The attachments,
And offer them to the universe.
Next are attachments to our body.
They come in various forms,
Attachment to our physical looks,
Attachments to being young.
Sometimes we even attach to the pain or the illness we have,
And that attachment colors our view of the world and self.
We attach to our physical body,
Although we know it will not last forever.
Find your own attachments and let them go.
Next,
Let's look into your life experiences.
Your experiences,
Your skills and accomplishments.
Many attachments hide there in the story we tell ourselves,
In our history,
In some special skill we have and others don't,
And an accomplishment we achieved.
Recognize your attachments there.
Be open to letting them go and offer them to the universe.
Next,
Let's look into our lives.
When we feel the Desc sophistication of life,
Also look into your values,
Into your attitudes,
Into your beliefs.
This might feel extremely hard,
Especially when we touch on the core beliefs we have about ourselves or the world.
But we have to release those the moment when we leave this physical world,
If not sooner,
And if we are able to release them sooner,
Then we can live our life very differently.
We can become pure,
We can become vessels for the energy flow,
And we can live our mission easily and freely.
So open yourself up to the possibility of letting everything go,
Of offering all to the universe,
Even beliefs in kindness,
Even beliefs in love,
Even those most noble of values.
You are not releasing the value and the belief itself,
Just your attachment to it.
Release all the emotions,
All the thoughts,
Everything that comes up in this process.
Notice and then let go.
Surrender to the universe,
To God,
To life.
There is no object or reason afterath,
Except our 10th Lights,
Utilizing the insight andbelow.
It can be based on the There is no user perfection.
You may feel fear,
You may feel resistance,
You may feel a lot of discomfort during this exercise.
Notice all of that.
Who is feeling this discomfort and fear?
Where do these feelings come from and where do they go?
What stays always there?
Notice the space and the emptiness that becomes bigger as you are releasing one by one attachment.
Notice the ease and peace of that space.
Notice how your human self becomes smaller but your higher self becomes bigger in that space.
Now for a couple of minutes return to resting your mind again in open awareness.
Do not focus on anything in particular.
Whatever comes notice and let it go.
Rest in free and open awareness.
And slowly when you are ready open your eyes and return to your day.
