Hello,
Hello.
Thank you for joining me today.
We're so happy that you're here.
So in the midst of a busy day,
Moving from one thing to the next,
Whether it's work or family or conversations or appointments,
It can sometimes feel as though we've lost our connection to what is most true.
As if the sense of deep stillness and peace,
The quiet presence beneath it all has somehow slipped out of reach.
But that can never actually be so.
The I am presence,
The awareness you truly are,
That I truly am,
Doesn't go and come with circumstances.
Thankfully so.
It doesn't leave when life gets loud.
It doesn't disappear when attention is pulled in the external world of form either.
It's always right here.
It's always been right here.
Looking through your eyes,
Listening through your ears,
Sometimes,
Even in the busiest moments,
Even in the most distracted ones,
This presence remains untouched.
So we are not here to gain or regain anything.
There's nothing you need to reconnect to.
This time together,
Our time together is just simply an invitation to notice that which has never been absent.
That's all it is.
So if you wanna let your body settle just as it is,
If you'd like to keep your eyes open,
Feel free.
You can sit,
You can lie back.
There's no right way or way to be.
Just allow yourself to simply pause.
Notice that you are aware.
Notice that awareness is already present.
Sounds are happening.
Sensations may be happening.
Thoughts may come and go.
And yet something is aware of all of it.
And we don't need to name that something.
We don't even really need to understand it.
Just notice that awareness.
Pure consciousness is effortless.
Just notice before any thought appears,
Before any story about who you are,
Before any label or memory,
There's a simple sense of being.
Just being.
Not someone being,
Just being.
Just gently notice the quiet sense of I am.
Not as a concept,
But as a felt knowing,
A true knowing.
Notice that hearing continues to happen.
Sensations continue to happen.
Can you find the one who's doing it?
Not intellectually,
Not by thinking.
And notice that they're simply seeing.
They're simply hearing.
Notice that the same awareness that hears sounds,
Notices thoughts,
Feels the sensations of the body,
It's not divided,
Nor is it personal.
It doesn't belong to a me.
I am is simply here.
Aware.
Aware of everything.
And if you notice the mind trying to grasp anything,
Trying to grasp a concept,
You don't need to stop it.
Just notice.
That grasping is noticed too.
What notices it?
Just letting everything be exactly as it is.
No matter what may be arising,
It's all appearing as awareness,
As the I am presence that is you.
You're just resting as the I am that is already here.
It's always here.
You may notice a natural sense of peace,
Or openness,
Or love,
Or you may notice nothing in particular.
And all of that is welcome.
The I am does not require a specific experience.
If restlessness appears or emotions arise,
Notice that I am remains untouched.
And the peace or the love or the sense of lightness you may be feeling,
It's not something you created or earned through this time together.
It's what you are.
Before effort,
Before trying to heal,
Or trying to become anything.
As we gently begin to close this session,
Just know that nothing needs to change when you return to activity.
The I am doesn't stay behind in silence.
It moves as sound,
As thought,
As conversation,
As light.
When you're ready,
You may gently open your eyes if you had them closed.
If you had them closed and now they're open,
Look around the room and know the I am is still right here.
Changeless,
Formless,
Always here.
Thank you for joining me.
Thank you for remembering with me.
Namaste.
