Welcome to a morning meditation that allows you to dive into your five fundamental human needs to be seen, heard, loved, belong, and feel safe. We also leave space to create an I AM intention mantra to use in the meditation to set some intention with yourself and your confidence.

We will get this started with today's meditation.

However you're choosing to go into your meditative position this morning,

Whether you want to sit down,

Lay down in a chair,

On the bed,

On the couch,

Wherever you are this morning,

Please get into your comfortable place.

And this morning's meditation,

Like most of them,

We're always going to hit a little bit on those five fundamental emotional needs as humans,

Which are to be seen,

To be heard,

To be loved,

To belong and to feel safe.

And in this morning's meditation,

We're going to use a bit of a mantra in our silent spot together.

So I want you to take a moment right now to think about an I am statement for your life for the year.

Now that can include one of those five fundamental human needs that I just listed,

Or you can create your own I am statement based on something you want to work towards,

Something you want to bring more in your life,

Something you want to have a bit of your focus.

Examples.

I am abundance.

I am powerful.

I am beautiful.

I am calm.

Whatever that might look like.

Take a moment right now to think about what your I am statement is.

And I invite you now to close your eyes if you haven't already done so.

Adjust your body anywhere you're feeling any discomfort,

Pain or tension.

We're going to start by taking a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and gently let that go.

And one more time,

A long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

We'll exhale through our mouths and let that go,

Allowing your breathing to return to normal.

Now noticing where that's landing,

Whether it's in your chest or in your belly,

Allowing your breathing to return to its normal pace and like noticing the rise and fall of your chest and your belly.

Focus on pushing that belly up as you inhale.

Hold as you inhale and flattening as you release.

Your breath is coming out of you both easily,

Freely and lovingly.

All of the emotions that you arrived this morning with,

All of your thoughts,

Perceived pressures from your day or your life situations,

They all release with each breath.

And in this moment,

You are weightless and you are light.

There is no right.

There's no wrong.

There is only this moment.

As you breathe in this next breath,

I want you to picture a soft,

White beam of light.

This beam of light will bring relaxation,

Calm,

Healing and love into our bodies.

We will start by bringing that soft beam of light into our bodies via our feet.

Coming in through the bottoms of our feet and then our tops,

Including our toes,

Rolling up through our ankles and into our legs,

Our shins and our calves.

Again,

As that white beam of light fills our body and rolls through,

It brings along a bigger sense of relaxation.

As we breathe in that relaxation and exhale with our surrender,

Moving now into our knees,

The fronts of our knees and the backs of our knees,

We bring that soft white light up through into our thighs and our hamstrings.

Again,

Allowing any tension to dissolve from our bodies as we go through it,

Focusing on that inward breath and that exhale.

We'll notice any pressure points,

Heaviness or emotions present and allow them to dissolve from our bodies.

We bring that white beam of light up through into our glutes and our hips,

Move into our lower back.

Knowing this is a place where some tension can carry in the body.

We just allow that tension to leave us now as we breathe in relaxation and feel our bodies further into a state of calmness.

Moving around that beam of light into our bellies,

Thanks for our digestion,

Rolling that beam of light up through into our chest and landing in our heart center.

Our heart center is our true inner self.

And as we land here with this white beam of light,

You're reminded as we say our I am statements in a moment,

That returning to our space of our true self is always welcome.

It is where you can connect,

Where you can find answer,

Where you can return home.

We move that white beam of light down through our backs now,

In our shoulders,

In our arms,

Elbows,

Forearms,

Wrists and hands and landing in our fingertips.

Again,

We continue to breathe in that relaxation and exhale with our surrender.

Moving that focus into our fingertips,

Taking notice of where our hands have landed during our meditation.

Nothing to change or shift or move.

Just notice.

Allowing those hands now to go completely relaxed.

Continue to breathe in that white beam of healing light into our neck and our throat,

Our jaw,

Our chin,

Our face and our ears and into the top of our head.

Now we allow that white light completely be flowing through our body and over our body as we allow our bodies to go into a deeper state of relaxation.

Focusing on the in and out of our breath,

The rise and fall of our chest and our belly.

We're going to take a moment to spend some time with our I am statements.

Recognizing that thoughts and sounds from elsewhere may enter your mind and that's okay.

We just allow those thoughts to come and then be released each time you require help with focus.

Repeat that I am statement over again.

You can say it as many times to yourself over the next few minutes as you would like.

We are setting that intention into our bodies,

Into our minds.

So begin by repeating your I am statements over silently to yourself through your mind's eye and you will hear my voice again in just a few minutes.

As we start to bring a little awareness back to our bodies in this meditative states,

Noticing how that body is feeling,

Emotions.

As we take another long,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

Release.

Along with your I am statements,

Our focus today includes our five fundamental human emotional needs.

And I ask you to repeat after me silently and lovingly to yourself.

I am loved.

I belong.

I am seen.

I am heard.

I am safe.

One more time from the top.

I am loved.

I am seen.

I am heard.

I am safe.

Taking the energy and intention of those I am statements along with the one you created with you today and throughout the week,

Reminding you can return to your heart center anytime to continue to remind yourself of that strength.

You can start now to wiggle your fingers and your toes.

And when you are ready and only then begin to move and shift your body,

Eventually returning to an upright position and opening your eyes.

Encouraged and encouraged to open your eyes.

Encouraged and invited.

Take a few moments before you get back into the routine of your day to journal through anything that came up during this meditation,

Journaling for 15 minutes,

Three times a week.

So 15 minutes feels like a long time.

Shorten it.

Do it a couple more times.

But that small amount can help to reduce some stress and anxiety and help boost that resilience in your body.

The journal prompts for today can include anything that came up during the meditation,

Anything you're feeling in the moments after,

And then also taking a few moments to write out how you would incorporate your I am statement more into your life,

How you want that to look.

And if you struggled today with coming up with an I am statement,

Maybe sitting in that space for a few moments.
