Earth and Sky Grounding Meditation Find a comfortable way to sit or lie so that you can stay as still and alert as possible during this practice.

Settle into your space.

Take a deep breath in through the nose.

Then slowly let it out through the mouth.

Let's do this again.

Breathing in through the nose and slowly out through the mouth.

One last time.

Inhaling.

And as you exhale out through the mouth with a big sigh,

Feel yourself sinking more and more deeply into the surface that supports you.

Begin to open your attention to the sounds around you.

Noticing the sounds that are farther away and the ones that are close by.

Become aware of the temperature of the air on your skin.

Now bring your attention to whatever part of your body is closest to the ground.

Feeling that part soften,

Open.

With your next exhale,

Imagine that you were sending roots deep down into the earth.

Down,

Down,

Deep.

Sturdy roots spreading wide through the earth.

Now as you inhale,

Bring nourishment up through those roots,

Up through your lower body,

All the way to the heart and lungs.

Root down,

Inhale,

Draw up.

Continue like this,

Sending your roots deeper with each exhale and drawing up more and more nourishment with each inhale.

Going deep down,

Inhaling nourishment up at your own pace.

Now bring awareness to the crown of your head,

That very,

Very top.

As you inhale,

Send the breath all the way up,

Opening the crown,

Allowing rich golden sunlight to pour in.

As you exhale,

That sunlight drips down like golden honey,

Filling and nourishing you in every,

Every part.

Exhaling up and open,

Exhaling allowing the light to flow in.

Continue like this,

Inhaling and opening.

Exhaling,

Letting light into every cell.

Golden light,

Every cell.

Coming back to your lower body,

Finding those roots,

Inhaling up through your roots all the way up through your torso and opening the crown of the head even more.

Exhaling,

Bring the breath all the way down from the crown,

Sending it down,

Down into the roots.

Inhaling,

Dense,

Rich nourishment all the way up,

Exhaling pure golden warmth all the way down.

Exhaling up everything that feeds you,

Exhaling down golden light through the whole body,

The whole body breathing.

Continue on your own with your own breath rhythm.

Exhaling,

One last sweep up through the body and down through the body.

Slowly beginning to expand your awareness all the way to the edges of your skin,

Feeling the support of the ground beneath you,

All the ways your body is supported,

Sensing the air on your skin.

Open your ears to the sounds around you,

The ones that are close by,

The ones that are farther away.

Let's do one more full inhale and a full exhale out the big sigh.

And then gently and in your own time,

Bring yourself back to the room.

And send yourself a little gratitude for taking this time and doing this practice.

Because when you're healthier and happier,

We're all healthier and happier.

Thank you.
