Hi and welcome to the meditation to give love to your body.

The purpose of this meditation is to remember how lucky we are to have a body that has brought us to this day and to give love to our bodies to help the healing process.

Start by sitting or lying down in a comfortable position and if possible symmetrically.

Close your eyes so you can connect to your body.

And if it's not uncomfortable,

Close your eyes so that you're only breathing through your nose.

Our nostrils filter the incoming air better than our mouth do and also allow for slower and therefore more serene breathing.

Become entirely still.

You're completely motionless except for the air coming in and out of your nostrils.

Observe your breathing.

It occurs naturally and automatically without you having to do anything.

Now observe your current mood as if you were inspecting your emotions from the outside looking in.

As if these emotions were separate from your being and notice how the air coming in is colder than the air coming out of your nostrils.

If at any point during this meditation you're bothered by incoming thoughts,

It's perfectly normal and it's part of the practice.

When you notice these thoughts,

Simply refocus your attention on the cold air coming in and the warm air coming out,

That is to say the present moment.

Without forcing anything and simply by observing the air coming in and out,

Slow down your breathing so that the flow of air gradually becomes thinner.

Imagine that this flow of air brings calm and comfort to your inner body as it comes in on the inhale and out on the exhale.

As if this flow of air were a magical substance,

Bringing you joy with every inhale,

Progressively the flow of air is becoming thinner and thinner,

Your breathing slower and slower.

Once again,

If during the meditation you are bothered by thoughts,

Noises or physical sensations,

It's perfectly normal and it's part of the exercise.

When you realize it,

Simply bring your attention back to the sensation of the cold air coming in and warm air coming out of your nostrils.

Imagine that you have a superpower,

You can emanate from your heart a magical healing light,

A pure white light that brings love and joy to everything it touches.

Now imagine that this healing light emanating from your heart is covering your body and giving it love,

Starting with your feet,

Your legs,

Your thighs,

Your pelvis,

Your torso and your back,

Your neck,

And finally your head.

We'll now focus on five affirmations to give strength to the body.

Pay attention to the words contained in these affirmations while remaining focused on the cold air coming in and the warm air coming out of your nostrils.

First affirmation,

I am grateful to have a body that has brought me to this point.

Second affirmation,

I love my body unconditionally.

Third affirmation,

I accept the imperfections of my body.

Fourth affirmation,

Fifth affirmation,

Every day I give love to my body by eating healthy food and practicing physical exercise whenever I can.

Before we finish this meditation,

Once again observe your current mood as if you were inspecting your emotions from the outside looking in,

And when you're ready,

You can slowly come out of this meditation and start noticing everything around you,

Including the surrounding sounds,

The weight of your clothes on your body,

And of course all the colors around you.

I hope this meditation was beneficial,

And I'll see you again soon.

Your meditations are super. They always leave me in a far better place than when I started and that feeling stays with me far into the day.

Thank you for your clear, orderly and anchoring take on the body scan. I feel it’s so important to consider and respect one’s body in a purposeful and loving way every day. It helps so much in recognizing your strengths and limitations, and in keeping healthy habits for eating, sleeping and exercise. Thank you for this meditation. Donna
