If you're listening to this,
You're probably a little bit stressed right now.
Life just seems a little bit overwhelming,
You're caught up in the future or the past.
But let me ask you a question.
Right now,
In this very moment,
When you're just listening to me,
We're ignoring the future,
We're ignoring what happened in the past.
In this very moment,
Is there anything that's stressing you out?
Maybe your thoughts are running all over the place and you can't quiet them down.
But right now,
I invite you to close your eyes and start bringing your focus to your breathing.
Breathing in through our nose and out through our mouth.
And let's just do that again,
In through our nose.
And as we continue to do this,
I just really want you to focus on feeling that air fill up your body and then when you release,
Just releasing any tension that you feel and just letting it go.
Because that's old tension that you're storing in your body,
It's not tension from the present moment,
It's stuff that's no longer serving you.
So just let it go.
I'm going to do this with you,
So let's just take some few breaths,
Focus on that breathing and just really feel it releasing from your body.
And as you continue to do this,
You may notice that thoughts are just flooding through your head.
It can be hard to ignore them sometimes.
And so what I want you to do is just allow them to come through,
Allow you to just identify that you had that thought and let it pass by.
Don't try and get caught up in it,
Just notice and say,
Hey,
I'm aware that I'm thinking this and that's okay,
But for right now,
I'm just going to focus on my breathing.
So just continue,
But allow your thoughts to just be there and observe them without getting stuck in them.
And sometimes you won't even be aware that you're off drifting thinking about something else.
But when you catch yourself,
Bring yourself back to the breathing.
As you continue this,
I want you to start becoming aware of how your body feels.
Is it still holding tension?
If so,
Just allow it to release.
Are the muscles in your jaw tight?
Is your back sore?
Your legs tight?
Whatever it is,
Just breathe into those areas and allow the tension to just release.
And it may help to start from the top of your body and work your way down.
So starting off at the head,
Feeling any tension and allowing it to release.
Any tension that we're holding in our face,
Just let it release.
Are we holding tension in our tongue?
Just allow it to release.
How about your shoulders?
Are you holding them up?
Just allow them to drop down and any tension in your neck to just soften.
And as we go down,
How are you breathing?
Are you breathing into your chest or your stomach?
And it's okay whatever one,
But just become aware.
As we continue down,
How are your legs and hips feeling?
If they're sore,
Just allow the muscles to soften.
And any stored energy to release.
As we travel down into our feet,
How are they feeling?
Are they sore?
And often that's where we connect to the earth.
And the rest of the world.
And often we have a lot of force on them.
So just imagine any tension just breaking up and releasing out of the soles of your feet.
And now just be,
Feeling how weightless your body is.
The energy flowing all around.
And yourself just feeling really good.
Allow any positive energy to flow through from any sources.
And just let yourself feel the energy and feel how good it feels.
So now,
To finish up,
We're just going to take a couple of deep breaths.
And as we do,
I want you to imagine that you're breathing in all the energy that you need for the rest of the day.
So we're going to do this together.
Let's breathe in through our nose.
Hold all that energy.
And then release.
And one last one.
In through the nose.
And then release.
