Good morning,
This is Junie Boushey and welcome to my morning practice.
Thank you for meditating with me.
Find a comfortable position.
For this specific meditation,
I'd recommend sitting upright if that's comfortable for you.
But it's your choice and your meditation.
If you have access to somewhere outside and in the sun or just in the pathway of the sun,
That's also a wonderful option.
So just arrive to the space and let's take several long,
Slow,
Deep inhales and exhales together.
As you inhale,
Envision bringing in clean,
Pure,
Vibrant energy.
And as you exhale,
Imagine that you are releasing sleep and any sluggishness that accompanies that.
Gently close your eyes at this time.
And let's go ahead and take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in together.
And just ever so gently letting that go.
And again,
Long,
Slow,
Deep inhale,
Cleansing,
Energizing,
Radiant breath.
And releasing sleep,
Dreams,
Sluggishness.
Imagine in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Imagine there is a beam of sunlight above the top of your head.
Allow this sunlight to filter through your body,
Starting at the tips of your toes,
Filling you up with radiant energy to carry throughout your day.
Watching this sunlight filling up each toe one by one,
Waking up the body,
Waking up your spirit.
Allow this energy to move through the foot,
Into your ankles,
Up into your calves.
Allow it to fill your knees,
Your thighs,
Spilling in through the hips,
The lower belly,
The belly button,
Below the rib cage.
Let that light fill your heart.
Move up into the throat,
Down the arms,
Into the fingers and wrists.
And then traveling up into the jaw,
Behind the mouth and the nose,
Awakening the eyes so they can take in this day that is ahead of you.
Illuminating your third eye.
And finally,
Up into the crown of the head,
Aligning you with your highest self.
Take a moment to feel your body alive and awake with this radiant energy.
Now I invite you to find a moment of gratitude.
Are you grateful for your home,
Your family,
Your pets,
Nature?
Just allow your mind to think of anything and everything that you can feel grateful for.
Setting yourself up from a place of gratitude allows you to bring positivity to the rest of your day.

Let's send some loving kindness out into the world.
Starting with yourself,
Repeat these affirmations.
May I walk through this day feeling safe,
Feeling peaceful,
And operating for my highest self.
Now think of somebody that you love and care for very much,
And wish the same intention for them.
May they feel safe.
May they feel peaceful.
May they walk through this day operating from their highest self.
Now think of somebody who you may have some conflict with,
And bestow upon them the same good intentioned loving kindness.
May they be safe.
May they be peaceful.
May they walk through this day operating from their highest self.
Lastly,
Let's take a big long slow inhale of gratitude,
Love,
Kindness for all beings.
And the intention that all beings can walk through this day feeling safe,
Feeling peaceful,
And operating from their highest self.
For the last section of this meditation,
I will read some affirmations to help you feel confident and capable of reaching your goals on this beautiful new day.
You may wish to repeat the affirmations after I say them out loud,
Or you can repeat them silently in your head.
Try to put some feeling into it,
Emotion,
Even if you don't believe the affirmation at this time.
Allow yourself to invest emotionally in the words being stated.
I am worthy.
I am strong.
I am capable of reaching my goals with grace and ease.
I am successful.
Finding creative solutions comes easily to me.
I am worthy of success.
I am the creator of my best reality.
I easily make the right choices all day using my inner wisdom.
It is easy for me to find things to appreciate around me.
Things keep getting better and better,
And for that I am grateful.
I am healthy,
Happy,
And radiant.
I have abundant energy,
Vitality,
And wellbeing.
My life is full of health and happiness.
I am a friend to my body.
I always have and always will hold the power to create my own reality.
I deserve to be seen and heard.
I release myself from destructive fears and doubts.
Every day I am learning new lessons and developing new abilities.
I give myself all the care and attention that I need and deserve.
I am learning new lessons about myself every day and utilizing that knowledge in a constructive way.
I am at peace with my body,
Heart,
Mind,
And soul.
My healthy mind promotes optimum health in my body.
I let go of the past and live in the present.
I am kind to myself and others.
I am worthy of love,
Happiness,
And living joyfully.
I am living my life with awareness and gratitude.
I am a healthy and happy person.
Today is going to be a fantastic day.
If your mind has wandered,
That's okay.
Just bring your awareness back to the breath as you witness it flowing in and out and appreciating the stillness and silence you have found within.
Remember thoughts are going to come.
Just let them go and come back to your breath.
Slowly,
Start to bring some awareness back to the body.
Deepen your breath.
Perhaps you listen to the room around you for any sounds,
Any flicker of light or shadow on your closed eyelids.
Gently start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Perhaps you lift your arms above your head with a big juicy stretch.
Taking any intuitive movements that will continue to wake up your body as you get ready to start your day and gently open your eyes.
When you begin your morning with meditation,
You set the trajectory for your day to be one of intention,
Of calm,
Of kindness.
If you specifically meditate within the first 20 to 30 minutes,
Your mind is still in an alpha state which allows you to absorb affirmations as well as lower stress and anxiety throughout the rest of your day.
