Sometimes we just have to trust in the process and loosen the grip we have on ourselves on our need to be perfect and to have eveything figured out. Through this guided meditation, we learn to accept what is, and make peace with the present.

Start to come to your most comfortable seated position.

Closing the eyes gently and just allowing the breath to even out.

Take a moment to notice your body,

Checking if there's any part of yourself that feels any kind of tension.

Begin to pay attention to your breath,

Noticing if it flows freely or at some point do you feel it being trapped somewhere somehow.

Slowly evening out the breath and lengthening each inhalation and exhalation deeply as you try to let go of anything that is giving you distress.

Take this time for you to talk to yourself as we do so little but fill our minds with endless distractions in the business of our lives.

This is a chance to observe how you are feeling.

We ask others how they are doing only to yearn for ourselves to ask the same question.

How are you doing?

What occupies your thinking most of the day?

What kind of emotions feel strong to you?

Is it happiness?

Sadness?

Anger?

Frustration?

Begin to acknowledge them all and let them out.

Notice how we keep giving love to others and how we keep looking for affirmations,

Looking for confirmations of our beauty,

Our worth,

Our whole being.

Notice those times you felt unloved,

Rejected,

Abandoned or even lost.

The time when you don't have everything figured out.

We've been living our lives trying to control everything,

Planning out every step and every moment we should be living.

We forget to live in the present,

To surrender in the moment and to simply let go.

When we allow ourselves to trust in the process,

To be and not to tire our minds and bodies to always become,

We feel a sense of flow in ourselves.

A sense of acceptance of the unknown as we embrace whatever comes our way,

A sense of lightness.

Without attachment,

Every encounter is fleeting.

Nothing is permanent in this world.

Wherever you are or whatever you're going through right now,

It too shall pass.

And in these moments with your breath,

Start to feel a wave of calmness come over you as you imagine yourself being wrapped in a blanket full of love that only you can give abundantly to yourself in the way that you've always wanted,

In the way that you've always needed.

Allow the breath to fill the hollow space residing in you.

Be raw and be bare.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Asking yourself to accept what is and to find that sense of relief as you begin your surrender.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.

Let all your flaws be out in the open,

Presented right in front of you.
