Welcome to this guided meditation.
A time to untangle your thoughts as you grant yourself the beautiful gift of rest.
Gently close down your eyes and settle into a super comfy position,
Maybe sitting in a chair or lying down either on the floor or your bed.
It's time now to get nice and cosy.
So take a deep breath in through the nose,
Feel the swell of your belly as it rises,
Hold and release,
Observing as the belly softens back into your body.
And again,
Breathe in,
Belly rises,
Hold,
Breathe out,
Belly falls.
One more time,
Breathe in,
Belly rises,
Breathe out,
Belly falls.
Allow the breath to settle back into its natural rhythm.
Relax deeper and deeper with each inhalation and exhalation.
Now take a few moments to tune into your body.
Observe any heaviness that you may be feeling,
Maybe around your head,
Shoulders,
Jaw,
Arms,
Legs.
Allow the body to really soften,
Letting any tension fade away,
Melting into the support beneath you.
Innocently observe as the body sinks further,
Shoulders drop,
Arms lighten,
Feet fall open,
Toes release.
Even though your mind may be thinking otherwise,
Know that there is absolutely nothing else for you to do in this moment.
Nowhere else that you need to be.
This is your time to simply unwind.
Give yourself permission to be exactly as you are,
Here,
Right now,
In the present moment.
Whisper to self,
I am exactly where I need to be.
I am exactly where I need to be.
Observe your breath,
The breath of life that flows naturally in and out,
Without you even having to think about it.
Weaving through your body,
Cleansing the energy within,
Exhaling all that no longer serves you.
Notice the quality of breath,
Is it shallow or deep?
Is the pace fast or slow?
Without trying to change it or control it,
Simply witness an actual flow of breath.
Feeling the rise and the fall of your chest as the breath flows in and out.
You may notice that your mind is wandered,
Maybe you're thinking about other things.
Know that this is completely natural.
Rather than engage with these thoughts,
I invite you now to step outside the chatter and become the observer,
If only for a moment.
Simply be the witness of these thoughts without any judgment.
Don't get caught up in the story,
Breathe into it deeply.
Now direct your gaze inwards,
Acknowledge how your body is feeling.
What sensations or emotions can you feel?
Are you feeling comfortable?
Are you slightly agitated?
Effortlessly observe.
Know that any worries,
Fears or doubts that you may be feeling hold no power over you.
Remember,
You are not your emotions or feelings.
This is simply the body's response to a thought or action that has taken place.
Stress comes from external forces,
But your power,
Your life force lies within.
So dial into any sensations that you may have.
We have the power to surrender these energies.
Silently repeat after me.
I surrender,
I release.
I surrender,
I release.
I surrender to all emotions,
Thoughts and feelings that no longer serve me.
I release all fear related thoughts and feelings.
I replace them with confidence,
Strength and courage.
Notice the sensations.
Allow them to be there.
Simply being with them is enough.
Simply being present with yourself is enough.
Fully present.
Surrender to this moment.
Now take a final deep breath in through the nose.
And exhale.
Place both hands over your heart,
One palm on top of the other.
Give thanks for taking time for yourself today.
Namaste.
