Our bodies are miracles,

Performing miracles every moment of every day.

Join me in sending some love and appreciation to our bodies today.

Begin by closing down your eyes.

You can also cap them by looking down at the space directly in front of you.

Take a nice,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it for a moment at the top of your breath,

And then let it out through your nose or mouth,

Whichever is more comfortable.

Exhaling fully and deeply.

Let's take another one.

Breathe in through your nose,

Hold it at the top,

And out fully and deeply.

And now one more time on your own.

Let your breath return to its natural rhythm and depth.

We'll breathe naturally during the meditation.

As your breath settles into its natural self,

Bring your attention right there to your breath.

Notice what it feels like to breathe today.

Which part of your body is moving as you breathe?

Perhaps you'll notice the cooler air on the inhale and the warmer air on the exhale.

Okay,

Good.

Stay here with me for a few more moments,

Feeling the sensations of breathing.

Now,

I invite you to expand your awareness out to where you can sense and feel your whole body.

Notice where your body makes contact with the chair or floor or whatever you're seated on.

Feel the weight of your body on that surface.

Feel where your feet are.

Is your spine straight or hunched over?

Just feel your body bringing awareness to its wholeness,

Its position in space at this moment.

We're going to spend the next few minutes loving up our bodies.

Our bodies are miracles.

These vessels that house our souls while we are here on Earth.

Let's acknowledge that now.

We're going to say some phrases of thanks to our bodies.

I invite you to repeat them in your mind.

If you find that one of these phrases does not apply to you,

That's okay.

You can switch it up or simply leave it out.

Here we go.

Thank you,

Body,

For being my home.

Thank you,

Heart,

For pumping blood tirelessly day and night and keeping me alive.

Thank you,

Cells,

For regenerating without me even asking.

Thank you,

Legs and feet,

For moving me around day in and day out.

Thank you,

Hands,

For reaching out and lovingly touching those I love.

Thank you,

Brain and nervous system,

For coordinating so many functions at one time.

Let's deepen our next breath as we say thank you,

Lungs,

For pulling fresh air into my body and releasing what I no longer need.

Thank you,

Skin and skeleton,

For your protection.

Perhaps you have a body part that is currently diseased or flaring up in pain.

Let's take a moment to thank those parts as well,

Sending these wishes directly to those areas.

Thank you for your messages.

Thank you for your communication.

Thank you for your continued healing.

Even if it doesn't feel like that's what's happening,

Our body's intelligence is always present and can hear the things we say to it.

Just as we speak kindly to people we love,

We must speak kindly to our bodies as well.

I'll give you the next few moments to sit in silence and send appreciation to any parts of your body you would like.

Perhaps you'd like to repeat what we've done already,

Or perhaps you'd like to give attention to a different area we've not mentioned yet.

If your mind has wandered off,

Notice and gently and kindly bring your attention back to your body.

You can also bring it all the way back to your breath,

Letting it rest there,

Noticing how it feels to breathe.

As we begin to wrap up our meditation,

I invite you to bring your attention to the space around you.

Notice any sounds you can hear.

Bring your awareness back to this present moment.

Take a nice,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breath again and tell yourself thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to love my body today.

Thank you for taking the time to meditate.

As you begin to open your eyes,

I invite you to do so slowly.

It's always good to come out of meditation slowly and gently so as to keep your nervous system settled.

Okay,

Great.

And as you return to your day's activities,

May you feel a renewed sense of love and appreciation for your body and presence in this now moment.

Have a love-filled and peaceful day,

My friends.
