Welcome to the practice of meditation on the earth element.
The earth element is very nourishing,
Stabilizing and grounding.
This practice can be done seated or lying down.
So find a comfortable position,
Ideally some place that you can practice undisturbed.
Once you've found a comfortable position,
You can begin by either taking a soft gaze or if it's available,
Closing your eyes fully and beginning to settle into your physical body.
Your physical body is the manifest form of the element of the earth.
The flesh,
The bones,
The density within your physical body representing the element of the earth.
So starting to feel the sensations of your body.
Feeling the sensation of your body as it connects with the earth.
Feeling the way in which your body makes contact.
Feeling the way in which your body is connecting.
Any areas of your body that are making connection with the earth,
Allowing them to become a little bit heavy,
A little bit relaxed.
As you allow your body to just softly surrender itself to the earth beneath you.
As you breathe in,
Feeling your body become a little bit more expansive as you find a moment to invite relaxation.
As you exhale,
Surrendering your body a little more deeply to the earth.
Doing this one or two more times,
Breathing in,
Expanding,
Exhaling,
Softening,
Relaxing.
Starting to bring your awareness to your breath.
Bringing your awareness to the space where the breath just begins to touch the nostrils.
Realizing the sensation of the breath as it just touches the nostrils.
Noticing if the air feels warm or cool.
Now as you begin to take a breath in,
As you begin to inhale,
Feeling the breath as it travels in through the nostrils.
Noticing if it flows a little more easily on one side or the other.
Noticing which or perhaps they're both equal.
Breathing in through the nostrils.
Now as you inhale,
Notice the breath as it just touches the back of the nostrils.
So following the breath,
Breathing in through the nostrils and allowing the breath to rise to the space just between the eyebrows.
Breathing in,
Allowing the breath to rise to the space just between the eyebrows,
Washing over the third eye.
Continuing to follow your breath as you breathe in through the nostrils,
Allow the breath to rise,
Wash over the third eye and then begin to descend down the back of the throat.
Now continuing to follow your breath as you breathe in through the nostrils,
Washing over the third eye,
Descending down the back of the throat and into the heart center.
Continuing to follow your breath as you breathe in through the nostrils,
Allow the breath to wash over the third eye,
Descend down the back of the throat,
Through the heart center and then down into the belly.
So continue to follow your breath as you breathe in through the nostrils,
Allow the breath to wash over the third eye,
Descend down the throat,
Passing down the front side body and then allowing the breath to fill the bowl of the pelvis,
Mooladhara chakra,
With each inhalation filling and expanding your root with your breath.
With each inhalation inviting a gentle filling and expansion of the bowl of the pelvis,
The root of the spine,
Front and back,
Side to side,
Filling and expanding your root with your breath.
As you fill and expand your root with your breath,
You may invite in the vision of the pelvis,
Breathing in the color red.
Inhale and exhale E you you you you you you you you you taking a deep breath in connecting with the qualities of the element of the Earth I am supported I am nourished I am grounded You may choose to stay here Or if you are ready beginning to make the transition to the rest of your day
