Welcome to Wonderable.
How are you doing?
This is day seven.
We're keeping you company and helping you use the time to create a powerful mindfulness habit.
Today we're gonna take a little walk to reset.
If you can get outside you'll get an extra boost of wellness that comes from being in nature.
But if that's not possible just wander around wherever you are.
Pause if you need some more time to get sorted or get going.
Okay are you strolling along somewhere?
The idea here is to just walk.
So we're gonna pull all of our focus and attention into the walking and that our brain and central nervous system have a break.
I want you to take a slightly deeper breath in and as you let it out just let go of any tension you're carrying around.
Check in with the parts of your body where you know you hold on to it.
Is there a tightness in your neck and shoulders?
In your abdomen?
Somewhere else?
Take one more deep breath in and relax.
Good on you.
We're only 30 seconds in and you've already done yourself a favor just by checking in and purposefully relaxing.
Okay now see if you can put all of your attention into your feet.
You want to notice every detail of each foot fall.
Where does the foot first make contact with the ground?
How does the pressure roll up the foot and when does the foot leave the ground?
You might find it's easier if you're walking slowly.
Notice the surface you're walking on and how it interacts with your feet or your footwear.
If your mind starts to wander off well that's what happens.
So just notice that and then try to pull your attention back to your feet and you're walking.
Just walking.
That's it.
It's really simple but incredibly powerful.
Your body is resetting,
Your mind is retraining.
Just keep bringing your attention back to your feet.
Keep going.
Are you still with it?
Let's do another 30 seconds.
Well done.
Just think of all the opportunities you have in your day to use mindful walking.
These add up and you'll start to notice some big changes.
Now take a minute to thank yourself taking the time to do this today.
One day at a time.
Thanks for being here.
Thank you.
