So making yourself comfortable.
Closing your eyes,
Either fully or partially.
Taking a moment to tend to your posture,
The way you're holding your body in this moment.
Starting by just checking with your head position.
Do you need to tuck your chin in a little to support the back of your neck?
Do you need to let your jaw release a little?
Are you holding your jaw tightly without even realizing it?
Do you need to relax the muscles in your throat?
How are your shoulders?
Do you need to allow your shoulder blades to slide down your back a little?
Can you invite your shoulders to drop,
To release?
Check to see that your torso is in a reasonably upright posture,
Supporting your breathing,
Supporting your diaphragm,
Giving it more space.
Is there any tightness in your belly?
Can you put yourself into a posture where your belly muscles are not having to work too hard,
And your back muscles are not having to work too hard?
So that nice middle place where your torso is supported upright,
But none of your muscles are having to work hard to hold it there.
Can you invite your belly muscles to relax?
Let your belly fall outwards,
Drop out a little bit.
Are you tensing the muscles in your,
Your glute muscles,
Your muscles in your,
In your butt?
Are you tensing your thigh muscles?
Are you tensing any muscles in your pelvic area?
Inviting any of those to release,
Or even moving to a posture that means that they can relax,
Release a little.
If you find there are any other muscles in your body that feel a little tight,
Then just inviting them to release as well.
Then sitting in this posture of support,
Of respect for your body,
Of kindness,
Recognition for what it needs.
Maybe a slight sense of reverence for this structure that is your body.
Some appreciation that you,
You are able to move your body into a place of more comfort,
More support.
Maybe you don't feel totally comfortable,
You know,
Recognition that there can be adjustments.
We can move towards a place of more comfort.
Resting for a moment in the silence,
In the midst of this body's experience.
And sitting quietly in your internal experience for a moment.
And just saying,
