This beautiful meditation is a renewal of the lens we see our world through. Anais nin said, "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are". This practice takes you through a lens cleansing process and then into a world filled with magic when you can truly see with your internal eyes.

Hey there,

This is Jen with Laughing Lotus Wellness.

Welcome to our meditation practice.

So welcome into our meditation on the lens of the soul.

I invite you to lie down on a mat,

The floor,

Find a comfortable seat and just sink and settle.

Begin to settle into that breath,

Deepen the breath.

Just beginning to notice your breath as it expands and contracts,

The flowing of the breath.

I invite you to go inward and just check the state of your mind.

Taking note of any sensations,

Feelings,

Thoughts and boxing those up,

Placing them outside of your space just for the time of your meditation.

So today we're going to connect the third eye to this idea of the lens as well,

Not just our eyes but our third eye.

I first invite you to gently massage that forehead space for a moment if that resonates for you.

And you're just gently waking up that forehead space,

That sweet source of intuition,

Another lens of sorts.

And then for your breath,

And you can either leave your a couple fingers there just to really kind of ignite this space or you're welcome to bring that hand back down.

And I invite you to as you breathe,

Take a few nice deep belly breaths as we begin our journey today.

And then hum as you release it out.

So it's going to be a belly inhale and then a humming exhale.

Can be soft.

I just want you to begin to create a vibration and particularly vibration up in your head space and particularly here and humming is a beautiful way to do that.

So you can just bring that inhale all the way into the belly and exhale it out with a soft hum.

Bringing that river vibration all the way up into that forehead space,

That third eye.

And really beginning to feel and sense that space in the forehead.

You may notice a tingling,

A vibration,

Coolness or warmth.

You can also imagine a blue light right in that forehead space as well,

A royal blue beautiful healing light in that space.

And if nothing happens,

That's okay too.

It doesn't mean that nothing's happening.

So I always encourage you that when when I throw out those notions that we not get to attach to them,

We just understand that we may or may not have a physical experience and that things are happening regardless,

To trust that.

And now just releasing into a nice even breath.

Steady and even inhales and exhales can bring that hand down from the forehead if it was there.

I want you to take a really relaxed position at this point and making any final adjustments as you need to your props,

Clothing or body.

And as always,

I invite you to create your own intention or sankalpa for practice or you can plant the seed of this thought using my words as your words if they resonate.

And so here we begin to slow the breath,

Sensing the fluid breath moving in and out of your lungs,

Sensing a physical body,

Taking a moment to just notice where we might be holding or gripping and just noticing that with curiosity and then breathe into those tender places and spaces,

Give them permission to let go for your meditation.

And I want to remind you that those parts that are gripping feel like they protect us.

They feel like they have a duty.

And we have given them some time off right now just to allow us to be for this time in sacred space together.

So relaxing and releasing the space across the forehead,

That third eye,

You might imagine opening that lens right in that forehead space for our practice,

Releasing any tension to the outside of the eyes or the jaw,

Releasing the tongue from the roof of the mouth if it's there,

Relaxing and releasing the shoulders,

Checking our breath,

Plugging in for a moment here,

Just inviting in curiosity.

And notice how the breath is flowing today.

Is it easy and fluid?

Is it halting?

Are you even holding your breath?

And release into all those spaces,

Send renewal into all those spaces.

And as we send that renewal into our bodies and to every cell,

We're going to get permission to let go,

To just be in this moment and this space for this time.

I invite you to open up your hearts and your minds both.

And so as we notice and become aware of that forehead space and the third eye,

The space of our spiritual lens and intuition,

Our sight is a powerful sense in which we take in so much information.

So placing that awareness and the third eye and noting that we'll be using our sense of actual sight and intuition for our practice today.

You might begin to notice that our lens,

That internal lens has some film on it.

And that pointed awareness bringing the eyes to focus in the space in the back of the forehead.

Notice the lens that might have some film that obscures your view.

And your initial response might be to wipe it off,

But we are going to sit with it a moment.

We are honoring that the film on our lenses is our stories,

Our experiences,

History,

So they are important.

They have been our guides in this lifetime.

And the first thing I do is invite you to consider which stories might be obscuring your lenses so that they readily influence your vision of life and journey.

Taking a pause and reflecting here on the areas that might cause friction for you.

Older beliefs and stories that suggest that the world is unsafe,

Hard,

Never yielding,

That have also influenced your beliefs about yourself.

Maybe that you might not be worthy or capable or living in a place of comparison.

We know that these thoughts get in our way.

So pausing here as you breathe fluid,

Easy breath,

I invite you to take stock of that film,

Those stories,

With curiosity and compassion,

Love and kindness.

And now we want to know that the clear spaces in your lenses are the parts made up of pure light and pure love.

They are the spaces of your love,

Strength,

Resilience,

Faith,

Hope,

Joy,

Inspiration,

And just feel that here for a few breaths.

And we are going to honor our stories and send them our love because they are structures and the spaces that have given us direction.

And yet we too are aware that they can sneak up on us and fool us as we see the world through watery lenses with our suffering and struggle attached.

It obscures our seeing the beauty at times,

The love,

Maybe even the truth of a situation or ourselves.

Lovingly we imagine we have a sweet soft cloth in our hands.

In our other hand we hold a container of alchemy of transformation.

In it is love,

Kindness,

Joy,

Curiosity,

Generosity,

Pure sweetness and bliss.

You know that this is a beautiful jar of goodness and is the essence of life.

And we can see our clarity of heart and purpose.

Placing some of that soul cleanser on your cloth,

You begin to slowly wipe away at that film gently and lovingly with reverence for where you've been,

For the stories that helped you arrive here in this moment,

In some cases for their protective nature.

We send energy and begin to remove this film that would ever prevent you from seeing the magic in the world and yourself.

Pausing here to breathe,

Gently cleansing your spiritual lenses for just a few moments here.

And now inwardly imagining closing your eyes.

Causing the shift of your lenses.

And when we open our third and internal eye out to the world,

We are stunned.

As you look out at the world,

Everything is in multiple dimensions.

There are new colors you can't describe and there is energy radiating out of everything.

Stories of color and vibration emanating out of new flowers you've never seen,

Trees of different colors,

The sky,

The water.

In some cases it's almost as if there is a sound,

A voice in these elements and you are emotional just noticing this beauty is accessible to you.

That there is life and energy teeming around us all the time.

We cannot even see with our eyes.

You begin to notice that there are beings here that we don't naturally see with our eyes.

Sometimes angels walk among us,

Perhaps light beings.

There's just so much to take in that you feel a little bit overloaded.

But you take a big stilling breath and release so that you can be fully present to this beautiful experience.

I invite you to notice your own body,

Your own vibration and color of being here,

How you shimmer and shine much in the same way as everything here does.

Everything here is so alive,

Vibrant,

Full of joy,

Peace and sweetness.

And you too are that alive,

That full of radiance.

Keep pausing here for a minute to allow the energy and vibration of this journey to flow through your mind and body and soul.

Nice.

And something that is different in this place,

This connection,

And this is done from the mind so we don't even need to speak out loud,

But it is rather like our vibrations are speaking to one another and we are so clear on what we are conveying.

There's no confusion here.

No unkindness for others or for ourselves.

It doesn't even exist here.

That forehead third eye space is tingling and we can sense the connection to all things around us like we are all pure light,

Pure energy,

And pure vibration.

And we notice in this space the other spirits here are so similar to us that the sweetness and journey and purpose in their heart spaces may be a different color of vibration,

But we all have it.

There is no comparison here,

Just none.

No judgment,

Just acceptance and love and seeing one another in our purest forms.

And here there is only a sense of worthiness,

De-purpose,

Joy,

Peace,

Connection.

As if all that aspect of our being is completely fallen away and we are utterly the center of our souls and bliss in this place and we can see through the layers that we all carry around to just be in our truth here.

Pausing here to breathe and look around you and take in the wonder of this spiritual awakening,

This deep knowingness that this is what really is going on.

And sometimes our film just gets in the way.

And so in this beautiful space,

Embracing this time in pure light and vibration as you breathe.

And filling your body with a sense of renewal,

Love and deep connection.

And sending that to all things in this space.

And sending that to every corner of the body,

Every corner of the mind,

Every corner of the soul.

Seeing those around us with this new lens.

Pure light,

Pure love.

I invite you here to take a snapshot in your mind of this reality.

How it feels to see through this new lens,

Through to the truth.

Seeing that intuition engaged,

Extra awareness of the things around us.

And with each breath sending that even more deeply through the layers of your being.

Absorbing this energy of this space.

May we return to our sankalpa or your intention.

Again planting the seed of this thought,

Using my words as your words if they resonate.

And slowly beginning to return to the body,

Return to your space,

Shifting from our journey of lens renewal and cleansing back into your space.

Just slowly becoming aware of where you are in your physical space,

How the breath is moving,

Paying attention to how you are feeling right now and just noticing.

Beginning to pay attention to your breathing and your body,

Your breathing and your body,

Your breath and your body.

You might begin to rub the thumbs across the ends of the fingertips,

Place your hands on carpeting or blanket,

Just beginning to bring sensation to the fingertips or the palms.

And you can place one hand on your heart if that feels good to you.

As we pause for a moment,

Consider how you will take the felt sense of seeing through your clear spiritual lens to see the truth,

The whole,

Seeing through the layers of what covers us,

What that looks and feels like.

As we come into our spaces,

Gently close our practice,

I'm so grateful for our time and shared space together.

Can feel the beauty of the vibration of your sweethearts,

Your truth and vibration here.

The pure light and vibration in me honors the pure light and vibration in all of you.

So it feels good to bring your hands to a position at heart center as we close.

We are one in our spiritual lenses and from a place of love and light.
