Yes,

So good morning everybody and welcome to Monday morning meditation.

It might not be Monday when you're listening to this and that's okay because I have this whole idea in my head that you will listen to this when you're supposed to listen to this.

It'll pop up or you'll like you know it'll pop up when it's supposed to pop up.

So that's how I look at things and that's why I kind of do so many meditations and that sort of thing because I feel like that if you're searching for something it's gonna be there when you need it to be there.

So that being said today I am going to talk about perseverance.

You know I call it you guys are gonna laugh but I call it stick-to-itiveness.

Right?

Clearly not a word.

I know that.

But you know what?

I strive for it every day.

I work really hard at sticking with things and I'm one of those people I'm really impatient.

I like to do it get it rolling let's get it moving and come on like get the idea and then come on let's go up to you know I don't like to sit around you know but then sometimes I'm an Aries right so I'll sit and I'll just like okay I'm kind of over it now right I work really hard at persistence I really really do so and you know I was thinking you know I was watching all of the protests and reading because I've been really the one of the things that I felt that I could do in this time of you know the the protests and all of that is learn is educate myself on the Black Lives Matter movement and that's what I mean I can't get out there you know physically I kind of can't get out there and protest but I wanted to learn I thought it was important to learn so I've been reading a lot about it and I am so impressed by their stick- to-itiveness right I am so impressed by that and in in sort of researching I found this quote by Maya Angelou who if she's an author a poet just just she's she's just amazing um she'll say something and you'll go you know I mean like it's one of those she's one of those um poets authors that you know you read what she says and you think wow you know you have to think about it for a few minutes so this is the quote that I found by her that I found absolutely amazing she said I'm convinced of this good done anywhere is good done everywhere for change start by speaking to people rather than walking by them like they're stones that don't matter as long as you're breathing it's never too late to do some good and that just so struck me because it's never too late it's never too late to do something new and to do something good and to do something positive and that doesn't necessarily mean like with the protest it's like in your life whatever that means to you when I first said that what did you think about maybe that's what you're supposed to kind of put some attention to right today right so I just found so much out of that quote and so much out of you know my learning and what I am doing and you know being persistent I talk a lot about it because you know mercury goes goes retrograde coming up in a couple and well next week right in ten days mercury goes retrograde in ten days and that's what I look at persistence staying positive right I that's what my goal is and so today let's think about staying persistent in our goals in our life right so that's what we're gonna talk about that's what we're going to meditate on today right and um okay so let's get ourselves comfortable and get our get ourselves to a place where we want to where we can be comfortable and just be aware of ourselves so let's close our eyes let your eyes look closed and we're going to very we're gonna relax today we're gonna spend some time on relaxing our bodies relaxing our minds right okay so with our eyes closed our hands with our palms up on our laps let's start by taking a nice very long very slow deep breath in okay so let's start breathing in really slow and as you're breathing in be aware of your breath going into your lungs into every cell in your body all throughout your body and hold it and release right there just that specific exercise can really help to relax your body relax your mind so let's do that again be slow deep breath in keep it going all into every cell in your lungs and release very good very good now let's relax our heads relax our mind and our brain I know that sounds crazy to do but relaxing our brains maybe just letting them I think all those crazy thoughts go like the oh my gosh I have to do this because it's Monday oh my gosh I have to do that just let those thoughts go for just a short period of time you know I make these meditations very short so that we can actually stick to it that stick to itiveness so relax your mind your neck and let's go down through our body our arms shoulders torso and abdomen our legs and thighs calves perfect absolutely perfect and as we get ready to sit in silence and stillness for just a few minutes let's start with our daily gratitude think of three things that we are grateful for what are three things that you are so happy with in your life and so grateful for I am truly grateful for the weather that we had this weekend like I said it's my favorite weather I'm so grateful for that what else what else is so something that you're so grateful for it could be small like the dinner you had last night or it can be really big you could be really really grateful for for your job that you still have or you could be grateful that you don't have a job now and that you get to start something new whatever that is for you perfect so today's mantra is one of my meditation teacher David Jeeves favorite mantras Moksha now Moksha means freedom and it means a state of bliss eternal bliss and emptiness what does that mean to you today what does Moksha mean to you today what is your state of freedom what is your state of bliss mean to you love it's just so it's it's just freedom it's freedom from everything freedom in everything Moksha is the ultimate goal of freedom in our lives so as we get ready let's get ourselves ready to meditate on Moksha today if you have thoughts that come into your mind that's absolutely fine just gently push them away and get back to Moksha I will keep the time and let's begin Moksha Moksha Moksha Moksha Moksha Moksha start bringing our awareness back to our bodies and let's take a nice long slow deep breath in just to seal the intention and let it out persistence persistence when you feel comfortable you can open your eyes persistence today everybody and know that that's where you're going to find your Moksha your freedom right so beautiful so beautiful now I wish you all so much love today and so much Moksha and remember that when things get crazy remember the three P's positivity persistence and oh my gosh it's nothing persistence Oh positivity and I have forgotten my third and this I talk about them all the time you know and I will get back to you on that persistence am I having a senior moment oh my gosh see I'm just meditated persistence positivity and patience thank you persistence positivity and patience oh my gosh that's so funny oh my gosh I wish you all so much love today and I will see you later and until next time namaste everybody love you all so much take care
