If you identify with mother hunger,

Here are 10 affirmations to rewire our thoughts and reparent ourselves.

Let's slow this down.

You don't need to fix anything.

Just listen and repeat after each affirmation statement.

These words are for the parts of you that learned to be strong too early,

The parts that needed care,

Not criticism.

You don't have to believe in every single line,

But just let the ones that resonate stay.

I don't have to earn care to deserve it.

I don't have to earn care to deserve it.

Love is not a reward.

My needs are not too much.

I can give myself what I was waiting for.

I can give myself what I was waiting for,

Especially now.

Wanting comfort does not make me weak.

Wanting comfort does not make me weak.

It means I'm human and honest.

I am allowed to move at my own emotional pace.

There's no deadline on healing.

Rest is not laziness.

It is regulation.

Rest is not laziness.

It is regulation.

I don't need to collapse to be allowed to stop.

I can care deeply without abandoning myself.

I can care deeply without abandoning myself.

Boundaries are not rejection,

They are a self-respect.

Boundaries are not rejection,

They are a self-respect.

Safety can come from inside me.

Safety can come from inside me.

I'm learning how to create safety moment by moment.

I'm learning how to create safety moment by moment.

I don't need permission to take care of myself.

I don't need permission to take care of myself.

I'm the adult I needed back then.

I am allowed to grieve what I didn't receive.

I am allowed to grieve what I didn't receive.

I am allowed to grieve what I didn't receive.

That grief is not betrayal,

It is truth.

And lastly,

I am parenting myself with kindness,

Not perfection.

I am parenting myself with kindness,

Not perfection.

Showing up gently is more than enough,

Again and again.

As we near the end of today's practice,

Let's take one slow and mindful breath.

We inhale,

Feeling the chest rising,

Belly rising.

And as we exhale slowly with a long and gentle kind bow.

Notice where your body is now.

You're not behind.

You're not broken.

You're learning how to give yourself what you've always deserved.

You're right where you're supposed to be.
