Hello and welcome to this meditation on increasing your confidence.

We've all had periods in our lives where we doubt our abilities or second-guess ourselves or simply just lack the pure energy that being confident brings us.

And when we're in a state of low confidence we simply react to situations around us and we're unable to value our own worth.

This causes us to not take as many risks and also not to succeed as well.

So by bringing our confidence levels up we'll start to feel more reassured,

More willing to try new things and persevere where we would have given up before.

So this level of proactivity is very powerful.

And one thing to keep in mind before we start this meditation is to not use this practice to further your ego.

So using this practice to affirm to yourself that you're the best or you know you're amazing at something.

Rather we want to stay with the certain qualities that come with confidence such as a feeling of alertness,

A feeling of relaxation,

Feelings of optimism or a feeling of expansion that is circulating throughout your body.

So we can stay with these particular qualities without necessarily adding an ego or identity view onto those feelings.

So to get started find a comfortable seat or posture with your spine upright and take a moment and close your eyes.

Start to bring your attention inwards into the area in between your eyebrows,

So your third eye area.

See if you can relax or soften any kind of tension in this area.

This can be aided by scrunching up your eyebrows and then deliberately relaxing it.

In the same manner you can pretend to tighten your mind and then softly release any gripping that you have in your mind.

And once you start to feel a bit more relaxed start to think of a memory in which you are in complete control over your environment.

And if this is hard for you to do in this moment you can even visualize an imaginary scenario.

So some examples of this can involve you thinking of a time where you were celebrating your birthday or a housewarming party at your house.

Being the host of either of these events you probably carried yourself in a certain manner.

If you want to use a physical example you can think of you setting a personal record on a fitness goal and completely acing it.

Start to see how you might act in that particular situation having accomplished a goal.

Or in a professional setting you can think of how you aced a presentation at work or at school and everyone's around you started to congratulate you on how well you did.

In either of these examples and moments you had a strong feeling of control,

Of confidence and a certain sense of vitality and energy.

And as you stay with that memory in your mind begin to put a smile on your face reveling in this moment once again.

And the mere act of smiling will strengthen this uplifting quality that confidence brings.

And as you start to focus more on the memory and the sensations that you felt in that moment begin to observe how you might have felt in that moment.

So you might have experienced a certain uplifting feeling in the body,

Relaxation of the muscles,

Certain joyous quality about you.

Try to see if you can replicate those same feelings in your body in this moment.

And as you continue to focus on these powerful sensations in your body you may start to experience these sensations multiply in its intensity and start to spread.

So you may experience a certain warmth in the chest or the head area and for now start to switch from noticing the memory to just staying with the feeling generated in your body.

And observe this warmth start to spread across your body and starting to add more mindfulness begin to observe if this uplifted feeling only stays in the head or chest area or is it now starting to spread to other areas such as your shoulders or the neck or the abdomen.

And even if this feeling of warmth isn't very strong at the moment simply resting your attention on it it will be fine for now and will also amplify over time the more you can bring your focus back onto these sensations.

In this moment started to experience more energy start to rush into your body.

You may feel the energy of determination,

Perseverance and also notice the feeling of freedom that comes with this energy.

Begin to start to send these expansive feelings out past your body.

So similar to the rays of a Sun expanding to include the entire world can you picture your expanded feelings warmth and confidence start to spread out to the area all around you whether you're indoors in a room or you're outdoors by nature.

See this feeling expand and be one with all your surroundings.

Now you may experience feeling of complete freedom and expansion in this present moment.

Just know that this expansive feeling all was generated by you and can be accessed at any time throughout your day.

And as you continue to do this practice find it much easier for you to access this quality due to muscle memory.

So as we end this meditation slowly open your eyes.

Notice how you feel in this present moment.

Prepare to the beginning of this meditation.

Start to take in the increased energy that you have now.

Get ready to crush your day.

Thank you.
