Welcome,
This is Linda G.
Robert.
I'm really happy that you're here with me today.
This meditation is a gentle reminder that even when life gets chaotic,
You can come back to yourself through breath,
Through stillness,
And through love.
Now,
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and let your body begin to just settle.
You can soften your eyes,
Or if you are comfortable in closing them,
Please do so.
And we'll begin with our breath.
So take a deep breath in through your nose,
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
Again,
A nice deep breath in,
And exhale slowly.
Continue doing that while listening to my voice.
With each breath in,
Invite peace.
And with each breath out,
Let go.
Let go of tension.
Let go of frustration.
Let go of your busy day.
Let your shoulders just drop and soften your jaw.
Unclench your hands,
And just be comfortable.
Now return to a natural rhythm of breathing,
And allow your body to be breathed.
There's nowhere to go right now,
Nothing to do.
Just be here with me,
With my voice.
Now let's gently scan the body.
I find that we don't do this enough,
Especially when we're busy all day.
And even in quiet moments,
We may not put our attention on different parts of our body,
Except when they're aching.
So bring your awareness to the top of your head,
And notice any sensations or tightness there.
Let it soften up,
And move down to your face,
Your neck,
And your shoulders.
And if you're holding tension there,
Gently breathe into it.
You may consider tightening those parts,
And then just letting them go.
Let it melt away with the exhale.
Now bring your attention to your arms,
And to your hands,
And your fingers,
And your chest,
And your belly.
And with every breath,
Feel yourself softening and feeling grounded.
You're here right now.
And down to your hips,
And your legs.
And now your attention goes on your feet,
Your toes.
And just feel the weight of your body completely supported by the earth.
It's amazing when you think about it.
We're going to take a minute of silence now,
And just be with your breath during this time.
I don't know about you,
But life gets busy,
And emotions rise.
But in this very space right now,
You can choose to pause.
You can choose to come back to you,
To yourself.
Imagine all the chaos,
All the noise,
Slowly floating away with each exhale.
Floating away.
Floating away.
And visualize a gentle wave washing over you.
Cleansing your mind,
And cleansing your heart,
And cleansing your body.
Just a very gentle wave.
You're safe.
You are calm,
And you are cared for.
And breathe into this sense of peace.
We'll continue our silence for a few more moments.
And while you're in silence,
You can imagine that wave,
Or perhaps even a gentle blanket covering you,
Where you feel completely comfy and safe.
Now,
Silently or out loud,
Whatever you prefer,
Repeat these affirmations after me.
I am allowed to rest.
I give myself permission to care for me.
Even in the chaos,
I choose peace.
My breath brings me home.
I am enough,
Just as I am.
I am enough.
And let these words settle in your heart.
I'm all about self-care and self-love,
And I'm wondering,
What is one small act of self-care that you can gift yourself today?
And hold that thought gently.
And when you're ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to your body.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
And stretch gently if it feels right to you.
Bring your hands to your heart.
And take one more deep breath in,
Sigh it out,
And tell yourself,
I love you.
I love you.
I really love you.
Take one more breath in,
And sigh it out.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes gently,
And thank you for giving yourself this gift of breath and care.
And carry this stillness with you into the rest of your day or your evening.
And I'll see you next time.
