Relax and remember your heart's true nature, joy. In this guided meditation, we will soften the heart, then recall a person, place, and activity that fills us with joy. We will then circulate this feeling throughout the body. The meditation encourages gratitude for the physical heart and the pleasure that arises when we align with our heart's true nature, joy.

Welcome to this brief discussion and guided meditation on a joyful heart.

The heart is to spiritual pursuits what the head is to academic pursuits.

The heart is a portal to the soul.

Then if our soul is accessed through our heart,

That means it's the most divine space that we can encounter as a human.

Our interactions with our heart are too few and far between for most of humanity.

Visiting the heart is such a beautiful retreat.

During this guided meditation,

We'll spend time with our heart and we'll amplify its true nature,

Which is joy.

The exercise that we will do in this guided meditation came to me when I was working with the client and channeling divine guidance for her.

However,

I think this divine guidance is for us all.

And so I'm delighted to share with you.

Create a comfortable position for yourself.

You might be waking up for the day,

Or you might be preparing for rest.

Anyway,

You're here now and focused on the most important portal of your body,

Your heart.

Let us begin to embody our body with our breath.

Inhale through the nose,

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

And this time,

Really expand your belly with your breath.

Exhale,

Release.

Inhale this time and audibly exhale,

Letting it all go.

And now focus your breath into your heart center.

Inhale and exhale.

As your breath moves,

Let your heart soften.

Release the gripping.

Feel your heart becoming softer and softer.

Now visualize your heart as a gentle pump,

Sending blood throughout your body,

Nourishing every cell,

Tissue,

And organ.

With each beat,

Your heart sends oxygen and nutrients to every part of your body,

Keeping you alive and healthy while adjusting to your various activities.

Identify someone that brings you joy.

See this person standing before you with a smile wide across their face and their arms outstretched.

Bring the sight of this person into your heart.

This is pure joy.

Imagine this joy in your heart pumping and circulating from your heart to every part of your body,

Softening and nourishing you deeply.

Feel the joy from this someone that you love in your cells,

Bones,

Muscles,

And organs.

Let it fill you up completely from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

Identify a place that brings you joy.

See this place on a perfect weather day.

Bring the feeling of this place into your heart center.

Bask in this joy.

Imagine the feeling that this place brings you,

Pumping and circulating from your heart to every part of your body,

Softening and nourishing you deeply.

Feel it in your cells,

Bones,

Muscles,

And organs.

From the top of your head to the tip of your toes.

Bring the feeling of this place into your heart.

See this place on a perfect weather day.

Bask in this joy.

Feel the joy from this place in your heart.

Now imagine joy pumping and circulating from your heart to every part of your body,

Softening and nourishing you deeply.

Feel the joy that this activity brings you in your cells,

Bones,

Muscles,

And organs.

From the top of your head to the tip of your toes.

As you bask in this joyful energy,

Take a moment to appreciate your body and all the amazing work it does.

Thank your heart for pumping blood and keeping you alive.

And thank yourself for taking the time to nourish your body and soul.

When you're ready,

Inhale and exhale.

Slowly open your eyes.

Take a moment to feel the afterglow of joy and gratitude.

Remember that you can decide to invoke this feeling for yourself at any time.

Just think of one person,

Place,

Or thing that lights you up.

Bring it to your heart and let it circulate through and soften and nourish you.

Joy is a powerful force that can heal and transform the body and mind.

Namaste.

What a wonderful way to bring joy into ourselves by thinking of the joy that people and places give us. And what personally gives us joy. Mine is singing in an a cappella group. Sometimes when I hear the harmony that we create I am so filled with emotion that am unable to sing for a moment, so infused with Joy am I. 🎢✨
