Hello,
This is a meditation for you to just come back to yourself when you need a pause,
When you need a moment that's just for you.
So find yourself in a comfortable position.
Take a nice long slow inhale in and when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Take another inhale in and then through your mouth just exhale it out,
Letting go of whatever you're holding on to.
Do that again.
Inhale and pause for a moment at the top and then exhale a little longer.
We're just simply arriving here,
Just slowing everything down.
Now begin to notice your body.
Notice where you're sitting,
How your body connects with the floor or wherever you are.
Let your shoulders drop,
Unclench your jaw,
Release any tension in your forehead.
If your mind feels busy,
That's okay.
We're not trying to quiet it.
The world is noisy around us.
We're just trying to find a moment of peace,
A moment of stillness.
Each exhale is a small release.
Each exhale is allowing you to let go of that noise to find that stillness.
So often we move through the day focused outward on what's needed of us,
What everybody expects from us,
What's next.
But right now,
We're going to turn our attention in.
We're going to call our energy back,
Calling it back from the past,
Calling it back from the future,
From all the what-ifs,
Calling it back from all of the places it's been pulled,
From all of the people that pull it from us.
So in this moment,
Connect with your breath.
Slow it down and imagine that there are all these beautiful golden cords around you,
Connecting you to all the people,
All the situations around you.
And gently start to pull them back in,
Taking back what's yours.
And as you do,
You can silently say,
I reclaim my energy.
I take back what's mine.
Take a moment here and pull back your cords.
Reclaim your energy.
Reconnecting with your breath here.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
Allowing your breath to find an even pace.
Now,
Quietly ask yourself,
What do I need more of right now?
Maybe it's rest or clarity.
Maybe it's confidence.
Maybe it's more trust in yourself,
Whatever it may be.
Allow the answer to come to you.
What do I need more of right now?
Now that you know what you need more of,
Choose a word that embodies that feeling,
Whatever that word may be.
And once you have that word,
Breathe it in.
Inhaling I am,
And exhaling your word.
Your word.
Breathe in I am and your word five more times.
Letting it embody you.
As you breathe in,
Allow it to fill you up.
And as you exhale out,
Allow it to surround you.
Breathe in I am and exhale out your word now.
Now come back to your breath.
Taking one final deep breath in and a slow exhale out.
Begin to notice the room around you,
The sounds,
Your body on the chair or wherever you're sitting.
Feeling your heartbeat connecting to your breath again.
You can start to bring back a little gentle movement.
And remember your word as you go through your day,
As you move through this year.
That intention,
What you need more of.
And go out and grab it.
Now take one more nice long slow inhale in,
Exhale it out.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
