Through visualization and loving presence, you’ll begin to build or strengthen a relationship with this inner part of yourself. You’ll offer the understanding, safety, and nurturing that may have been lacking in earlier stages of life, allowing healing and integration to unfold. Transcript

Hello and a huge welcome to this meditation,

The inner child meditation for reconnecting with and nurturing your inner child.

So this is your time to pause,

To listen and to open your heart.

We'll journey inward today to reconnect with a part of you that's always been there,

Your inner child.

Find a quiet,

Comfortable space where you feel safe and supported.

Sit or lie down gently,

Letting your body be held by the ground beneath you.

Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Begin to settle.

Take a deep breath in and slowly release it out.

Again,

Breathe in deeply and let it all go.

Let your breath guide you inward.

Let it carry you softly home.

Bring your full attention to your breath.

Notice the natural rhythm as it flows in and out.

Feel the air entering your body and gently leaving.

Let each breath soften you,

Melting tension,

Calming your mind.

Now shift your awareness to your body.

Feel the weight of your body,

Supported by Mother Earth.

Notice any areas of tension or tightness and breathe gentleness,

Softness into those areas.

And just gently scan your whole body,

Allowing your body to be calm,

Open and receptive.

Invite softness.

Now begin to imagine a space that feels safe and comforting.

This is your sacred inner sanctuary.

It might be a forest,

A cozy room or a place from your childhood that brought you peace.

Visualize it in vivid detail.

What does it look like,

Feel like,

Smell like,

Sound like?

Allow this space to be warm and welcoming.

Let it hold you.

This is the place where you'll meet your inner child.

This is where healing begins.

Now in your mind's eye,

Begin to see a small version of yourself approaching.

This is your inner child.

Notice their age,

What they're wearing,

How they carry themselves.

Notice their expression,

Their energy.

This child is you,

Pure,

Open,

Feeling deeply.

Perhaps they carry joy or perhaps they carry pain.

Allow yourself to greet them gently or smile and open your arms.

Let your inner child come closer at their own pace.

Offer comfort,

Reassure them.

You're safe here with me now.

I'm here with you.

I love you just as you are.

Feel the connection between you,

Heart to heart.

And breathe into that space.

Now that your inner child is with you,

Listen to them.

What do they want to share?

What do they need?

It might come in words,

Images,

Emotions or simple presence.

Allow them to speak freely.

Let them express and be fully present.

Don't fix,

Don't judge.

Just listen.

You might ask softly,

What do you need from me right now?

What are you feeling?

Hold them with love and compassion.

Let them know they are seen,

Heard and valued.

This moment of connection is a powerful act of healing.

Now gently open your heart to offer nurturing.

You might imagine holding your inner child in a warm embrace.

You might visualize wrapping them in light.

Soft,

Golden,

Protective.

You might offer words of comfort.

You are loved.

You are enough.

Feel the love flowing from your heart to theirs.

Let it soothe old wounds.

Let it rebuild trust.

Your presence is the medicine your inner child has always needed.

Stay with them.

Hold them in your care.

Now imagine your inner child gently merging with you.

Becoming one with your present self.

Feel their energy.

Their joy.

Their creativity.

Their vulnerability.

Integrating into your being.

You are not leaving them behind.

You are bringing them home.

Affirm to yourself,

My inner child lives within me.

I carry them with love and kindness.

I honor their truth.

Feel a sense of wholeness like a piece of you has returned.

Breathe into that wholeness.

You are complete.

Now let yourself rest.

Let the energy settle.

Notice the sensations in your body.

Feel the warmth in your heart.

Notice the peace that comes from deep connection.

Breathe in gratitude for yourself.

For your inner child.

For this moment.

Let it wash over you like sunlight.

Say quietly to yourself,

Thank you.

I honor the child within me.

Begin to return to the room gently.

Wriggle your fingers and your toes.

And if you like,

Have a really good stretch.

Bring your hands to your heart.

And when you're ready,

Softly open your eyes.

Carry this connection with you as you move forward throughout the day.

Your inner child is never alone.

You're with them now.
