What is constant and unchanging? As Liz strolls along the banks of the River Exe in Exeter, she finds herself deeply inspired. The gentle flow of the water prompts a moment of reflection on the quiet, steady energy behind all of life. In contemplating the simple truth of “I am,” Liz recognises it as both a gateway and an invitation to turn inward and connect with something deeper. The river’s path becomes a quiet guide, gently pointing her toward the direction of inner stillness and awareness.

Hello and welcome to five minutes in nature with me Liz Scott and today I am strolling slowly along the banks of the River Ex in Exeter and it's a beautiful spring morning the sun is shining there is a little coolness in the air I'm sharing this path with you might hear runners go by and walkers dog walkers on my left is the river and I can see a canoeist paddling by and when I come to Exeter and I help my mum I come up every other week just to give her a hand I stay overnight and each morning I go on the same walk I am a creature of habit and the walk takes me through as much greenery and quiet of Exeter as I can find all the way into the city centre itself where I treat myself to a cup of coffee and I was struck as I crossed the bridge the footbridge over to pick up this footpath along the edge of the river as I looked down the river from the bridge I recall all the different weathers I've experienced as I've come along this path I've experienced beautiful sunshine like this rain wind storms hail I don't think I've experienced snow but I've experienced pretty much everything that the weather has to offer and it just struck me about the path is always here the path is always here regardless of the weather and that gave me great comfort you see one of the things that I reflect on one of the spiritual areas that really nourishes me is looking beyond the identities that I have the thoughts that I have the the busyness of my mind and sinking to that place the I am the presence the the place that is ever ever constant in me that knowing space that never changes everything I do when it comes to exploring on being a teacher or a coach or a trainer ultimately is an invitation for people to look within to that space look within to that which never changes that is constant and this path today beside the river just reminds me of that it is the ever constant regardless of the weather regardless of the wind or the rain or the Sun or the heat or the cold it is ever constant and I know that it's so tempting to get lost in trying to work out the world or trying to be a better person or earn more money or be more successful or whatever it is for me and I'm sure you've got your own list but ultimately the only thing the only thing the only thing I keep repeating that for myself the only thing that really matters is bringing my awareness back to that space within to that ever-present knowing the place where I am emerges and is created in the world so today the river is being an extraordinary teacher and this footpath alongside it as the Sun glints on the water it's a very calm day and people run by or cycle by or walk their dogs along the banks of the river I'm reminded to look back within and as I do as I'm doing that with you now I feel this deepening of gratitude and love it's not forced it's not me trying to do something it's like I am it's like I'm opening a door and it is being released within me it is me so today this is all about looking beyond who we think we are and the river has reminded me to look to that place to who we truly are

Thank you Liz 🙏🏼 I enjoyed hearing the River Exe flowing along, hearing its life and sense of busyness. Whether we are stationary or moving, we are always on the Path. 🍃🐿️💐🐿️🍃
