In today's world, built on distractions, and many avenues of connection, we often forget to return to loving ourselves first. Oftentimes we need to return to the cushion to practice non-attachment and compassion. Spend a few moments here to remind yourself of your path, your worth, and your intention for connecting with others in a more mindful way.

Welcome to my self-love meditation.

We'll start by finding a comfortable seat Making sure our spine is straight yet relaxed Noticing if you're holding your stomach here and letting that go on each exhale Allowing your eyes to come to close Taking a deep breath.

We'll inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth Letting go of the day thus far.

I see you and I love you these are some of the kind and loving phrases we often search for that every person wants to be seen heard understood loved on Some sort of level.

Let these words soak in for a moment I want you to allow yourself to open up to the vulnerability of hearing and feeling these phrases inhaling and exhaling Completely releasing any tension you may be holding Being mindful of anything that may come up for you physically or mentally these loving kindness phrases often hold greater weight when spoken by someone else and You may ask yourself.

Why might that be?

As you search for these words of affirmation You pour unconditional love onto others Searching to fill something within yourself Whether that's a sense of belonging support nourishment excitement whatever that may be but the difference here is the intention Are we doing it out of a want for connection?

Are we doing it because we have a narrative that we are lacking?

That maybe perhaps we're longing and searching to be whole Placing this expectation of fulfillment onto others people who come and go in our lives something that we often forget and Maybe this is more than one person.

Maybe it's one person but sometimes we intentionally or unintentionally Place this pressure on a person or a group of people Something that an entire community is supposed to provide us and as you experience the pains of heartache rejection loss change You must to feel the pain of disconnecting from your true self in today's world,

We are disconnected from our hearts and have deprived ourselves of our own love and Something we tend to forget is that self-love is not just an option when we are alone It's not a backup plan Self-love is your higher self always guiding you whispering words of encouragement That of which to be kind to yourself forgive yourself love yourself With self-love we must return again and again Continuing the cycle of forgetting and remembering who we first belonged to That you've always been whole You need no changing or shifting You were born complete You die complete And the people you spend your time with in between are potentially wonderful additions to love in which you already possess that these people Share you with you.

I See you and I love you These love and kindness affirmations for something you are called to give and deserve to receive And whenever you look beyond yourself,

I want you to remember that it is your heart That is the source of all your desires That everything you've ever needed and wanted does not exceed from the cushion on which you meditate At the end of the day it is you in your own heart You are the only one that can fulfill your happiness and deepest desires if you ever forget as We sometimes do I invite you to return to this practice again and again Or returning to the heart and sitting with yourself.

Thank you
