Welcome to this Pregnancy After Loss meditation track.
My name is Lucy.
I am a lost mum and I too have walked this path before.
I understand firsthand how hard this journey can be and so it's really important to seek as much support as possible.
And so you finding the time today to listen to this track and follow along is a huge step in taking care of yourself and while you take care of yourself you're taking care of your baby.
So this meditation track today is a calming meditation specifically for Pregnancy After Loss.
It's a short meditation practice to provide ease and a sense of calm.
And so please use this track anytime you need.
To begin finding somewhere to rest comfortably wherever you are.
Making sure that you use any blankets or cushions as needed to support your body.
Making sure you're listening at a time where you won't be interrupted and that whatever position you have chosen that this position feels comfortable.
Placing your hands gently on your belly and feeling that warmth and connection between you and your baby.
With each breath imagining a soft light growing within you.
A light of love,
Of hope and of strength.
Noticing now any areas in your body that feel comfortable.
Maybe you're resting on a soft sofa and maybe you have wrapped around your body a comfortable blanket that feels soft to the touch.
Notice all the areas in your body that feel held and supported right now.
And maybe just allowing yourself to release and relax and let go a little bit more.
Let go a little bit more into the surface beneath and behind the body.
Really trusting that this moment here with me is a moment of safety.
A moment where you can feel held,
Where you can feel supported,
Where you can feel seen and understood.
Paying attention now to your breath.
Your breath in your body as you breathe.
Noticing the way your body moves with the in-breath and the out-breath.
And focusing on the breath in the back of your body.
This can feel calm,
Calming,
Soothing breath.
As the back of your body moves with the in-breath and with the out-breath.
Gently rocking the whole of your body.
Gently and calmly.
And as you rest here today surrounded by love and hope and strength.
Know that this pregnancy is not defined by your past.
Because it's its own unique and beautiful story.
Remind yourself that right now you are safe.
And that right now your baby is safe.
Know that this moment now is all that matters.
Because you don't need to know what tomorrow holds.
The only thing that's real right now is this moment.
This moment as you focus on the steady rhythm of your breath.
And you acknowledge the love growing inside you.
Because love is stronger than fear.
And it's okay to feel anxious.
But remind yourself that this is a new chapter.
Filled with new possibilities.
Just like every tree is unique.
This pregnancy is unique.
A brand new tiny little seed.
That you can nourish.
And that can grow.
Picturing now a strong steady tree.
And its roots deep into the ground.
And its branches way up high.
Imagine that you too are like this tree.
Firm and solid and grounded.
And while your branches wave around when storms may hit.
They do withstand the storm.
They are strong.
Because the trunk of the tree is strong.
And the roots of the tree are firmly planted.
So feel strong.
Like that tree.
Grounded.
Noticing the in-breath and the out-breath.
Breathing in a sense of strength.
And letting go of any worry with the out-breath.
You are surrounded by hope.
And it's absolutely okay to take everything one moment at a time.
One moment at a time.
Firm.
Grounded.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Allowing the sense of calm ease to wash over you.
Calm ease in this moment now.
Letting go of the awareness of your breath now.
And just enjoy resting here.
In the safety of this moment.
Again paying attention to any sensations that feel comfortable.
A softness in your hands.
The sensations that you feel as your body connects with something comfortable.
Maybe a sense of calm ease.
In your mind and body.
And then taking a moment to show yourself some gratitude.
Some gratitude for making the time for you today.
For you and your baby.
Nourishing that tiny seed.
In your own time you can stretch your body.
Open your eyes if your eyes have been closed today.
