It's perfect for reflecting on a life well lived.
This is a special time just for you.
A time to relax,
To feel calm and to remember how truly valuable your life has been and still is.
You don't need to be perfect.
You never did.
You've been growing,
Learning and giving in your own unique way all along.
So let's get comfy.
You can sit in a cosy chair or lie back somewhere soft.
You can just rest however feels most supportive.
And then let your hands settle where they feel most at peace.
When you're ready,
Gently close your eyes or simply soften your gaze and take a big deep breath in.
Hold it and slowly let it out like a gentle sigh.
So let's do that again.
A deep breath in and a long breath out.
Good.
Now imagine your breath like a soft wave moving in and out,
Calm and smooth.
In and out like the rhythm of life itself.
As you breathe,
Invite your body to relax,
Your shoulders relax,
Your arms relax.
And now picture a balloon,
Large,
Light and steady.
This balloon can carry away anything you're ready to release.
Maybe a worry,
A memory that still feels heavy or something you've held on to for too long.
Take a moment now to think of anything you're ready to let go of.
You don't have to explain it.
Just gently notice it.
Now breathe in deeply.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine placing that feeling into the balloon.
Watch it slowly rise up into the sky,
Drifting higher and higher until it disappears into the clouds.
Let it go.
And feel yourself become lighter,
More at ease.
Now take a moment to remember something in your life that brought you joy.
It could be a person you loved,
A moment you were proud of,
A simple day that makes you smile.
Let that warm memory fill your chest,
Fill it up like a glowing light.
You've lived through so many chapters,
Some beautiful,
Some hard,
All of them meaningful.
You've made a difference just by being who you are.
And now gently say these words to yourself in your mind or out loud.
I am calm.
I am strong.
I trust in my journey.
There may be things you wish had been different.
That's okay.
Mistakes and missteps are part of the story.
You did the best you could with the heart and knowledge you had at the time.
You've grown.
You've given.
You've loved deeply.
And every day you continue to offer something to the world just by being here.
And take a moment now to feel proud of how far you've come.
Feel grateful for the lessons,
The laughter,
The love.
Grateful for this breath,
For this moment,
For being you.
