Hello friend,

Welcome to Reconnect Daily.

This meditation will be a morning blessing,

Created with the intention to gently ease into the unfolding day,

To be slow and present as much as possible in those first crucial moments after waking.

I really do believe that the pace in which your internal system finds itself in,

In that first kind of hour really determines what kind of pace your internal system will operate in for the rest of the day.

Spending some time in the morning,

Utilising your agency and your own ability to connect to and move through your world in a way that most benefits you,

That allows you to thrive.

Or maybe not thrive,

But simply be as close to your centre and truest self as possible.

We'll start with a few breaths together,

Using this as a moment to really arrive into this space and we'll do five breaths in through the nose,

Down into the belly and we'll sigh it out through the mouth.

With those sighs,

Those exhales,

I want you to focus on a sense of letting go,

Or perhaps a surrender to this moment.

So we'll go together,

Inhale through the nose,

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose,

Exhale through the mouth.

Exhale through the mouth,

Inhale through the nose,

Exhale,

Let everything go through the mouth.

Last one,

In through the nose,

Filling the belly and just noticing the first point of sensation in the body,

Noticing what this sensation is.

Is it a temperature?

Perhaps the sensation is one of warmth,

Or maybe it's cold.

Is the sensation tingles,

A vibration or a sense of awareness and energy?

Breathing into this place of sensation,

Allowing the breath to be slow and steady and then letting go of that sensation awareness and bringing the attention to the heart space,

The chest,

Noticing if this space feels open,

Expansive or if the space feels constricted and closed,

Neither one is good or bad,

Right or wrong,

It simply just is.

Breathing into that space,

Nice and slow just bringing the awareness into the heart,

Into the chest.

Does this space feel light or heavy?

Does this space feel accessible or hard to reach?

Again,

There is no right,

There is no wrong,

It simply just is.

We're not seeking to change meditation or breath work or any practice,

Let's not seek to change the experience only to be with the experience itself.

It is easy to believe that we can control via our practices,

When really,

Truest control is when we let go of all control,

When we trust in the process of the intelligence that is our body,

That is our spirit,

That when we simply be and bring presence to our experience,

The experience transforms.

Noticing now how your chest,

How your heart feels,

Perhaps there is a little more room for you to be there.

May your heart be open to receive love,

May your body soften so it can be vulnerable,

Seen,

Held,

Witnessed,

Loved,

May you know what it feels like to trust,

May your day be filled with joy and laughter.

Thank you for my life,

Thank you to the air that I breathe,

For my nourishment and my connection to all that there has ever been,

All that I am.

Thank you to the sun,

The giver of light,

Energy,

Food.

Thank you for rising each day and being a constant presence.

Thank you to the dark,

For teaching me that all form is birthed from the emptiness,

From the void,

That everything was birthed in silence.

Thank you to all the creatures,

The small,

The big,

The ones with wings,

The ones that swim,

The ones that swing,

For your crucial role in the ecosystem that gives me life.

Thank you to the sacred waters,

The salty and the fresh,

The rays,

The lakes,

The falls,

The rivers,

The vast and powerful oceans where all life began.

Water is life.

Thank you water spirits who move through me in every moment.

Thank you to the people whose joy and laughter and grace provides support,

Healing.

Thank you to all the people in my life that are no longer present.

Thank you for teaching me that it is a part of this process to let go.

We gather and we release.

We expand and we contract the great.

May all the people of this world one day know peace.

May the land one day be free and with her,

Me.

On this morning,

I sit in awe and wonder at the divine,

At the beauty,

The eternal nature of life that lives beyond me and inside of me,

That formless,

Empty space,

Creation herself,

Is always within.

Taking a nice,

Gentle inhale into the belly,

And then a sigh,

Exhale,

And as we move into the rest of our day,

Just taking a moment to contemplate how we can make choices that keep us as close to a peaceful state of being as possible,

Whilst also not bypassing or repressing any feelings or activating them.

How can we strengthen this as our centre,

Whilst allowing ourselves to roam on the periphery?

May peace be with you.
