Welcome to this color meditation for the five organs.
This meditation is drawn from the Qigong tradition and its intention is to balance the five main yin organs of the body to bring them into harmony so they can function optimally.
You can receive this meditation either seated or lying down.
So take a moment now to come to a position of your choice that you can sustain for the duration of the practice.
And wherever you are seated or reclined,
The invitation is to allow the eyes to close,
Becoming aware of the inner space and allowing the outer world to begin to fall away a little bit.
Feel the parts of your body that are in contact with the earth and allow yourself to be received and held by the earth.
Setting an intention not to change anything about the breath.
Bring your awareness to the way the breath is flowing into your body and is being released by the body.
Throughout this meditation,
You maintain a natural breath.
Bring your awareness now to your lungs,
The organ of the lungs.
If it feels supportive,
You can take your hands and place them somewhere on your body where you feel like your hands are communicating with the lungs.
And as you inhale,
Visualize diamond white light moving into your lungs.
And as you exhale,
Visualize gray smoke released from your lungs and from your body.
Continue with this visualization as you breathe naturally.
Sensing or imagining that the white light brings healthy,
Fresh energy or chi into the lungs and the gray smoke releases any spent chi,
Diseased chi or energy,
Anything that tarnishes the glow of the lungs.
So with each breath,
The lungs take on a brilliantly white glow that gets brighter and brighter with each breath cycle.
With the lungs glowing.
Feeling diamond white color,
Allow the awareness to travel now to your kidneys located in your back on either side of the spine underneath the rib cage.
If you feel that it is supportive for you,
Placing your hands on your kidneys.
And here visualize breathing in blue,
Black,
White,
Sapphire color into your kidneys.
And as before,
Exhaling any toxic chi,
Spent chi from the lungs,
From the kidneys rather in the form of gray smoke.
As you breathe in,
The kidneys glow a dark blue,
Black color.
And as you exhale,
You release any spent energy,
Spent chi,
Diseased chi from the kidneys,
Anything that tarnishes the deep blue,
Black,
Sapphire color of the kidneys.
Next,
Bring your awareness to your liver located on the right side of your abdomen,
Just under the rib cage.
And placing your hands there,
If that is supportive for you.
And into the liver,
Breathe in healthy,
Fresh chi in the form of brilliant green light,
The light of life.
And breathe out any damaged chi or any energy that no longer serves you from the liver in the form of gray smoke.
Using the liver to glow a brightly green color brighter with every breath cycle that you take.
Next,
We come to the heart organ located on the left side of your breastbone in your chest.
Placing your hands over your heart,
Visualize breathing in fresh,
Healthy qi in the form of ruby red color into your heart.
And exhaling any qi that no longer serves from the heart in the form of gray smoke.
Allowing the heart to glow brighter with ruby red color on every breath cycle.
Brea the breath as you exhale.
And lastly,
We come to the organ of the spleen located on the left side of your abdomen just underneath the ribcage.
Placing your hands over the spleen if you wish.
Breathe into your spleen fresh chi in the form of golden yellow color,
The color of amber or a winter sunset.
And breathe out of your spleen anything that no longer serves in the form of gray smoke.
Allowing the spleen to glow a golden yellow color brighter with every breath cycle.
Breathe.
Now hold within your awareness all five of the organs that we visited and see them glow their corresponding colors.
The lungs glowing diamond white color.
The kidneys glowing sapphire blue black color.
The liver glowing emerald green color.
The heart ruby red.
And the spleen golden yellow of amber.
All five of the organs glowing brightly.
Their energy having been optimized and balanced so the organs can function optimally to support your health and well-being.
You are welcome to remain within the space of this meditation for as long as feels supported.
If you would like to close the practice together now,
Make your way up to seated position in your own way at your own pace.
As you're ready,
Gently allowing the eyes to begin to open and taking in the outer world as a whole.
Bringing with you the sense of optimally functioning organs of your body as you let the outer world back in and prepare to move out of practice and into life.
Thank you for your practice.
Namaste.
