So we'll get started and just allow yourself to settle into yourself in whatever way you know how.

Drawing in from our outer oriented consciousness,

Drawing our consciousness into ourselves is kind of an act of defiance.

Our sense organs are focused outward,

Our organs of perception,

Sight,

Hearing,

Touch,

Smell,

Taste,

They're all focused outward and they're drawn outward by their,

You know,

By sound and by light and tasty things.

We're set up that way,

We're organized that way,

That we're drawn out.

It's not because we did something wrong.

So pulling in,

Drawing our awareness in is an act of defiance.

It defies those habitual tendencies or the way things are set up.

And as such,

It requires some intentionality.

So you can use your breath as an anchor.

You can use the feeling of your skin wrapping your body.

You can feel how the breath passes through your nostrils,

Over your soft palate,

Down the back of your throat,

Through your trachea and into your lungs.

Lungs hug your heart.

And as the breath passes through your nose,

It pours through the conscious,

It stimulates the sinuses.

It pours under your brain,

It flows under your brain.

So there's like a massage through the sinuses and under your brain.

As your lungs massage your heart and your heart rides the waves of the rising and falling of your breathing diaphragm.

Another reason drawing in can be a challenge is that we're oriented toward connection.

And we can easily feel connection in the space around us.

When we draw in,

There can be a feeling that we're moving away from connection.

But that doesn't have to be so.

Being alone inside ourselves can mean being cut off and isolated.

Or it can mean being connected to the entire cosmos.

You can imagine that in your heart,

There's a little doorway,

A little passageway.

And when you enter there,

It opens out into the vastness of the universe.

And everyone and everything is there.

Not in their fragmented,

Separate,

Individual aspects.

But everything is represented there as part of the One.

Just through this space in your own heart,

Inside your own self.

And suddenly your own self is just an appearance,

Just a concentration,

A condensation of something infinite.

And let it be an idea.

The infinite expanse of radiant truth is tangible.

And at first it might be like looking out your window into the infinite night sky.

But this is an infinite night sky that hugs you back,

That knows you intimately,

That responds.

This infinite knows you and sees you and understands.

All your pain,

All your sadness,

All your entitlements,

All your longing,

It's all seen and understood.

And from the perspective of the infinite judgment and understanding cannot go together.

Judgment that holds condemnation or shame or anything like that is incompatible with understanding.

This understanding is absolutely naturally compassionate.

Not because it wants to be,

But because it cannot be.

Because it sees everything.

The circumstances that gave rise to every thought you've ever had,

Every feeling and reaction you've ever had,

The circumstances going way back before this life,

You are completely understood.

And out of that understanding and acceptance comes the embrace.

The embrace of the infinite cosmos that takes you in,

Surrounds you with nourishment,

Comfort and peace.

All your longings are fulfilled there because being timeless,

The root of the longing and the fulfillment of the longing are held as one.

All your hopes,

Aspirations are fulfilled there.

All your pain is resolved.

Allow this experience,

To whatever degree it's accessible,

This experience of connection,

Of being held and seen completely,

To touch your physical form.

So there's this pathway in your heart that you've entered into.

Allow that wholeness,

Infinite radiance,

Love,

Compassion,

Understanding to start to come out through that passageway in your heart and into your body,

Into your physical heart,

Muscle,

Into your lungs,

Your abdominal organs,

Your throat,

Bones and muscles of your torso.

There's nothing you have to do about it other than just allow it to flow through you into your bloodstream,

Pumped out through your arteries,

To your tips of your fingers and the tips of your toes and drawn back through the veins,

Back to your heart,

Into your brain.

Brain is often the seat of the experience of isolation.

So let the experience of connection,

Of being held,

Seep into your brain,

The organ of your brain.

Every inhaling breath reaches into the depth of infinity and gathers up that love.

And every exhale pours it into your physical frame.

And every inhale pours it into your physical frame.

And every inhale pours it into your physical frame.

And every inhale pours it into your physical frame.

And every inhale pours it into your physical frame.

Every inhale is a drawing on that infinite source,

Drinking it in.

And every exhale diffuses it throughout your body.

And any holding,

Any tension,

Any gripping in the body releases under the caress of this energy.

And any holding in your muscles,

In your organs,

In your brain.

And your physical form also includes your ideas,

Your thoughts,

Your beliefs,

Your personality.

All that is included in your physical being.

So let them be softened also.

Your sense of I,

Me,

Mine on an individual level.

Your preferences,

Likes and dislikes.

Offer all that to this infinite compassionate loving presence.

And remember this is not something that you're doing.

All you have to do is allow it to happen.

It's a natural process.

You set up the conditions,

You attend to it,

You release control,

And it just happens.

It just flows.

Because it's natural.

It's as natural as the tides,

As gravity.

You might even say it wants to happen.

The infinite wants to connect with your body.

Your body wants to receive the infinite.

So there's a magnetism that you aren't in control of,

That doesn't depend on you and your thoughts.

Allowing us enough.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I want to share with you the space around you.

The room.

The objects in the room.

The people that you may be interacting with today.

Spaces that you may be moving into.

So that when you stand in this place,

Rooted inside yourself,

Nourished by the infinite.

What you have to offer is infinite.

Your sense of needing something from the world around you is diminished.

Your sense of being able to offer to the world around you is increased.

Your sense of needing and entitlement to what we need leads to a great deal of suffering on many levels.

And the experience of having infinite wealth and infinite store of love,

Of presence,

Of understanding to offer.

That's the antidote to the suffering in this world.

Because we each have that,

We each have that access,

And we each have that capacity inside us.

When we each know that,

Not as a concept but as an embodied reality.

All the conflicts will cease.

So as you open your eyes,

Gently when you're ready.

And look at the space around you.

And allow the sense organs to resume their connection with the world around outside.

Stay connected to the infinite well inside you.

Notice the draw outwards,

But also notice the flow from within.

And may this stay with you as you go about your day.

Thank you for joining me in this meditation.
